Man of Steel (2 Viewers)

It's funny but before I saw the 2nd trailer, I rolled my eyes when I heard there was a new Superman movie coming out. Now, there's not a movie I'm looking forward to more this summer.

Superman can't be dark and brooding forever. In this origin, its fine to have him as a confused lost kind of soul on earth. Have whatever music you want for that. But when superman figures it out, I want those trumpets John Williams composed.

If this new Zod-centric trailer that was released today doesn't get you pumped for the movie, then I don't know what will.

Meh. I like the other trailers a lot better. This just makes it look like a summer action movie - I like the philosophical take of the previous trailers.

Is there a more boring superhero than Superman? I think not.
Superman is very powerful, but even he has to make the choice of which emergency to react to. Even if he saves someone, a person in another crisis could die. Imagine being in his shoes, knowing that whatever choice you make, you're likely dooming another person to die, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I am very hopeful for this film and the trailer looks great. However I seldom put much faith in trailers.

If you aren't excited about this movie then you hate 'Murica.
FYI Superman renounced his American citizenship.
He still stands for truth and justice, though. IIRC, he felt that he didn't want to be a symbol of the negative things that America has done, as well as not being a symbol of American interference.

That's all fine and dandy but the fact remains that he still renounced his American citizenship.

Except fly around the Earth and turn back time of course.

Even an idiot like me knows that such shenanigans would never actually work, and would probably do far more harm than good.

Way to ruin it for the rest of us

No problem.

Movie looks badass and i hate superman
I was a superman fan as a kid.. then as i got older the character seemed so lame.

The most recent movie was terrible.

But I agree this looks potentially very cool. Will definitely see in week 2 after the theaters aren't so slammed.

Zod has always been the best villain for superman that i've known.. but my only knowledge of superman comes from the movies.. i've never read his comics... so i never know when they are following or breaking canon.

No reviews yet, that usually is not a good sign the week before. The comedy entourage next week This is the End already has 20+ reviews and many of them are glowing. When a movie knows it is going ot be good they usually want reviews to start leaking a couple weeks before the film.

Hope this movie is good , the last one stunk.
