Man slaps girl on subway now suing NYC (1 Viewer)

Vicious Manhattan subway brawl caught on video

That headline may be the greatest embellishment in the history of journalism, and that is saying a lot given how low journalism has sunk to get clicks. That was neither a brawl nor was it vicious.
I must have missed the "brawl"...saw a few shoves...

The dude who slapped the chick is filing a lawsuit against NYC. :lmao:

If there was ever a time to use the phrase "Murica", now is it.

I understand why he was upset, because he did nothing wrong. But he was only charged with a misdemeanor and it was since dropped, it was not like he served 20 years. There is no real upside to his lawsuit.
Settlement is his goal. Costs him nothing to have some lawyer try to get some money.

Typically the type of lawyer taking this case doesn't have the skills to accomplish this task.

"Peña came to the US from the Dominican Republic and was a right-handed pitcher for an Oakland A’s minor-league farm team until injuries forced him to end his dream of reaching the big leagues in 2010."

I thought that right hand slap looked like it had a little something extra on it.

His lawyers look like real class acts posing for a picture like that.

He might not have done anything wrong legally, but it still wasn't something to be proud of (as the guy himself admits).

That's not the message that picture puts out, IMO.

 He spent 4 days in jail when he should have spent 0.

How much are 4 days worth for this guy?

If his name was Buffett he has a legit multimillion dollar lawsuit, what are his 4 days worth? This isn't like a wrongful conviction where he spent 20 years behind bars. I'd give him $4k and tell him to have a nice day.

I thought we were supposed to be castigating men who hit women in the wake of Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, Greg Oden, et al. This thread seems like the opposite of that.

I'd do it for 4k.

Someone should suffer for this, or else this will keep happening.

You think he spends 4 days in jail if he slapped a guy and said it was self-defense?

Women become fair game when they do the assaulting first. This guy's response to being smacked with a shoe was an open-hand slap. It's not exactly over-the-top force. It got more violent when the other guy jumped in, but no one complains when it's guy vs. guy.

Should've closed fist punched her. Maybe left her with something more permanent to remind her she's a human being living in a society where you don't attack someone because you don't like their fashion choices.

Nobody seemed to mind when I chopped Furley in the throat because of his mesh tank top and jorts.

This is the one with the reverse peephole. Not sure on name.

Edit: Well, that was a creative episode title.

Still not the episode... It came on my TV the other night and I was cracking up when I saw it.

It was the episode were Puddy was religious that I took this picture of. They were talking to the priest.

reminds me of this one that I saw the other day. Slap at grocery store: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr0okFhlj0w
She's going to have to undergo concussion protocol before being allowed back in the game.
She actually took that like a champ. Hopped right back up
If Mike Tyson has taught us fellas anything, and I like to think he has, it is that black women can take a punch.
The bolded may be true, but the chick in the video is white. The guy calls her "white trash" at the beginning of the video.
