Manly stuff I don't know: Birds attacking my siding (1 Viewer)

Ok, so in late fall we heard some banging. I investigated and saw a bird on the side of my house banging against it. I inspected and didn't see any damage. Thought maybe it was a one off thing.

I just was on that side of the house and now there are a number of small holes on the siding. So, now I am trying to figure out two things....

  1. The bird- how do I keep them away and does this mean that there are inspects (termites?) that they are going after in my siding?
  2. The damage- how can I fix the damage short of residing my house?
Assistance, thoughts and general help is appreciated.

Can we see a picture

Being Irish I know all about little peckers. I don't think the little guy is sharpening his beak. He's digging for something. Call the Exterminator.

I had a similar problem with a bird in the spring, only it was a daylight window in my basement. This bird would fly into it over and over again, almost like it was attacking its reflection. He sat by that window all day everyday apparently as the bird #### was everywhere. I borrowed a BB gun from a neighborhood kid and did away with him after a few tries.

Is it a woodpecker?
No, it's a penguin
okay then try putting some ice in a cup in a spot in your yard that is way away from your house everyone knows that penguins like ice and they will go hang over there and leave your house alone take that to the bank bromigos

I was at my uncles house a few years ago when a bird flew into a huge window & dropped. On the ground below was a cat waiting and scooped the bird up.

They said birds fly into the window all the time. That clever cat has his free meal ticket figured out.
