Marino & Shannon Sharpe OUT - Gonzales IN (1 Viewer)

Keith R

The Don
Just heard on CBS radio that Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe are out from the NFL Today studio show on CBS, with Tony Gonzales coming in to join James Brown, Boomer Esiason, and Bill Cowher.

I don't watch the CBS pregame show, and this change won't affect that. If I happen to catch part of a halftime show / clip recap, I'm not too concerned who's on it. But some may care more than me.

Rotoworld blurb:

Tony Gonzalez has been hired by CBS as an NFL Today studio analyst.

Gonzalez is replacing Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe, who will no longer be part of the network. There had been recent rumblings that Gonzalez would return to the field in 2014 for a "stretch run with a contender," but he'll focus on his new gig for the time being. The Falcons hold Gonzalez's rights for the upcoming season but have stated all along they don't expect him to play

No one has dropped him yet in any of my leagues. I bet they don't until the season starts and some might not then either.

I'm not sure I've watched more than 15 minutes of the CBS show in a few years, mostly because I found Marino to have all the personality of a two day old baguette. Not likely to give it another try either. CBS hasn't been the same since Jimmy the Greek got canned (though he earned it).
