Barber produced well for fantasy teams yesterday, but obviously made a couple critical errors in the 4th. Will it affect his touches next week?

I think he'll be fine next week as his momentum was taking him out of bounds on that play and he was being aggressive on the fumble and coaches can over look being aggressive for the most part.

Who else are they going to give the ball to? Barber lost them the game, but they have no other options at present.

Barber looked better than he had in a while yesterday despite the miscues.

I don't think the Bears are in a position to be choosy with their skill positions, and the fact that Barber was over a century in yards and nearly 30 carries against a decent defense is telling to me that he's the main guy going forward even though he dashed the hopes of Bears AND Raiders fans in the span of a couple of minutes.

I won't discount Bell, he racked up 40 on 9 carries and caught more balls than anyone else on the team. He's useful, and when the Bears are looking for a more balanced game plan then they were yesterday (where clock grinding was put at a premium), I can see Bell being used as COP/3rd down.

But Barber is the main man.

Due to his screw up over the last two weeks, I doubt he will be brought back next year. He basically ruined any chance the Bears had of making the playoffs, along with Roy Williams. Thanks, Dallas. :wall:

Local channels were calling him Marion Bartman last night.

Short term: He should get 20 plus touches at home vs Seattle traveling on a short week.

Long term: His performance in relief of Forte two weeks ago and yesterday's mistakes have opened the door for his exit next year.

I also think Barber is being unfairly criticized for the OOB run. Obviously you want a player to be thinking about game situation at that point, but getting yardage is important too. And to me the better question is why are you running a stretch play to the short side of the field in that situation?

Flaps - I think Barber will be back. The problem is speed at the LB position and the need for OL help. I doubt that this will be held against him by the front office.Barber had almost 100 yards with a good defense keyed to stop him. He did pretty well. Not sure if you noticed in the MNF game, at least 3 players went out of bounds when the Seahawks were trying to run out the clock. The difference was the the Seahawks scored and put the game away and the Bears didn't.Plenty of other problems. Barber isnt a serious one.

Pshhh yeah like Dallas held a gun to the Bear's head and forced them to sign their leftovers. There was a reason they were dumped.
