Martez Carter has been compared to Tarik Cohen, and while he has some similar traits, I think a better comparison might be De'Angelo Henderson. Undersized at 5-7, 205 lbs., Carter is bigger than Cohen, although, like Cohen, Carter has a "big-back" attitude. Carter runs hard and can really push a pile. He was known at Grambling as "Mr. Excitement" for his ferocious running style and penchant for breaking out of tackles and making big plays. He has that De'Angelo Henderson-Maurice Jones-Drew bowling ball build, and thrives running between the tackles, is a reliable pass catcher and a willing blocker. The Redskins drafted Derrius Guice, and holdovers Chris Thompson, Samaje Perine and Rob Kelley will compete for touches, so Carter's path to any meaningful role is unclear; however, Carter also brings return skills to the Redskins, which will help in his bid for a roster spot. Carter is one of my favorite late-round dynasty targets. If you are looking to swing for the fences with a late-round dynasty stash, consider grabbing Martez Carter. Don't expect immediate dividends, but he could be a penny stock that pays off.
