Yeah, there are so many other Marvel characters they could make. I think it is just laziness. They can release "new" heroes without having to do much coding.

I vote we stop 100 points short of it. I already have one I can't use, why go for 2?
I think I saw somewhere (maybe in a kabam post that someone posted here) that they were going to do the 7 day events every other week, I could be wrong though, or maybe that was referring to the 7 day alliance quests being every other week. Either way I am good for holding more, want to reach 500 quest crystals for ####s and giggles. Can't wait to open those and have 500 brand new shiny tier 1 ISOs in my bank.
The Kabam forums are a fun but depressing read, the cutoff for the 4* War Machine went up 1,000,000 points compared to prior contests. The elite arena carrot really pushed scores up astronomically.
On the forums, there are people pissing and moaning that they spent thousands of units on recharges and didn't come close to making the cutoff. Seen a few data points thrown around like 4.91M was 441. 5.26M points scored ranked 300 overall. 7.86M got 62nd place. How does anyone even have the time to play that much in three days even with unit recharges?

That is insane. I barely made it to the 150k milestone in the cornucopia and my wife was getting pissed at me spending too much time playing yesterday.

Apparently shared accounts is a thing and Kabam is on to the culprits.
Regardless, I still don't think it's right that the player pool is growing daily but the payout structure has been about the same the entire way.
I was nervous before of what the Chinese invasion later this year would bring. Now I'm just resigned to the fact that I will never be able to compete for a 4*, which is all I want out of this game
Why has that been so hard for Kabam to accomplish?

Make one more milestone a 4* crystal. You won't get the targeted champ, but you get your 4* reward. I can't even reach the current 4* arena milestones, so an additional one even for a 4* wouldn't interest meApparently shared accounts is a thing and Kabam is on to the culprits.

Torn on what I'd want from my Thanos 4* crystal.
A 4* Tech would be awesome so I had a complete set of classes. Though the thought of duping 4* Iron Fist makes me drool. I really wish I'd started spending units a tourney earlier for refreshes... would have had him duped if I had.

Frankly as long as it isn't a mutant I will be happy. Although if it were Rhino or Abomination I admit I will be a little disappointed.

I had 157044 which was good for 38958th place. I think in the past getting just over 200k or 225k will get you the second PHC. I normally try to do one more round past a milestone figuring lots of people stop once they reach it.
I noticed the milestones for the 2* went back up to the normal points, no more half price milestones.

They're going to convert them into something else.
Ideally, gold. And at the ratio of 2 canisters = 400 gold (which makes sense based upon the entry costs of the arenas).
In which case, they'll turn into 240K gold for you.
If they don't screw us, which they probably will.

I have a sinking feeling that my next 4* is going to be Hulkbuster. If it is I'm literally going to LOSE MY FREAKING MIND. He's so awful and clunky. I don't even know what that means but it sounds right for him. Such stupid jerky movements. I'd rather have a 2* Arm Fall Off Boy.

I know what you mean, I hate playing with him. I think he was the first 2* I took to 3/1 just to get his red special to offset my crappy play with him

The funny thing is I rarely ever lose with him. Just can't get any type of rhythm at all.

Crystal Corn was a much higher cutoff this time. Think most people were running it extra for the Arena wins. I used to be able to put up like 175k and get two PHC's.
Best I've ever done in the 4* was 600k points which got me two PHC's in the Iron Patriot one last week, plus milestones. I can't inagine scoring in the millions, my wife already is annoyed at how much I play this game.

No matter what changes are made, that is always going to be the problem with this game. Anyone with a real life (wife, kids, job, school, mortgage, friends) is never going to be able to compete. Heck, pretty sure you can't compete for a 4* at all unless you have multiple players on one account.
If Kabam cared about that, it's a very easy fix. Up the difficultly so that skill matters more than time spent, and set a hard limit of the # of battles you can do per day. But they never will because that's what makes them money.

Not sure if I've asked this before, but is anyone playing Future Fight? I've found it to be a lot of fun. There's the similar kinds of character acquisition and progression but there are specific levels/tasks you can do to work on specific characters - there's much less chance involved. There's also a PvE and PvP component, but just lots of different kinds of regular tasks/types of contests. I didn't have the time for CoC but FF is more efficient with your time.

Why do we save crystals until the 7-day event?

The 7-day event will have a hero as a reward. Like we got Yellow Jacket as a reward for the 7-day rank up event. We wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell of scoring enough for Yellow Jacket except we have been saving rank ups for the last month to be able to score that much.Bigboy10182000 said:

See my post earlier about comparing the 3-day crystal event to the 1 day dupe event. The dupe event, crystals worth 20-25k or less get us a PHC. In the crystal event, it takes 700k crystals to get 2 PHCs. Obviously the latter is a worse way to spend our crystals when you look at it like that. Not unless there is another worthwhile and attainable prize after those PHCs that is worth such a jump in point total.
So that's what we do. We look at each set of awards and what it takes to get there. If they are crappy rewards (boosts and items are generally crappy, or low numbers of credits, chips, gold, etc), or if they require a ton of points to get without a big payoff like a desirable hero, we save until they give us an event worth it. Normally the 7-day events are worth it, but only if we've saved up long enough to get the big reward.

The only reason I won a few 4*s in arenas was because I was in a job I was leaving and didn't care, so I just played at work.Mr. Yuk said:

I do think we should get back into the alliance quest ladder. It is not time intensive. We just need people willing to hop on for 10 minutes every 4 hours or so to do it. That is easy for me, I just go to the bathroom and pretend to poo.

I agree, next alliance quest lets get back on the horse. If I am pretending to poo for the alliance quests, how will I get in my morning duels, or those few extra arena rounds to reach the last milestone, or run through a quest to get the clock to work for me.... Too many things, not enough fake pooping.
Lol, I fake poo as well to get some gaming time in. At one point I even went so far as to schedule some "meetings" on my calendar and use one of the small conference rooms. Don't do that anymore since I gave up on anything other than the first few milestones in tournys. The scores needed have spiraled too high.
Was thinking scores might come down with school starting back up for the kiddo's, but more likely it just means it will slow the spiral up down slightly. Especially after this big rank up, probably tons of alliances were waiting on it to rank their guys.
