This guy seems to be just a victim of circumstances. Backs up C. palmer, Lienart, and now Brady. But everytime i see this guy play he seems to do well, not only well but seems to be good enough to be a starter now is he just a product of NE system or does he really have talent and why doesn't he get any hype like Shaub does. Does anyone have his scouting report? I would really like to know more about this guy.

TIA

Scouting report is on nfl.com

He was a 7th round rookie last year, meaning he'll be an RFA after the 2007 season, a UFA after the 2008 season.

Thanks. Do you think he has starter potential. Obviously not NE but maybe somewhere else or do you see NE maybe trading him for say a LB or something.

Havent seen enough of him. He got little experience in college, and has only seen extensive preseason experience. He'll be in NE for at least another 2 years. Hes a cheap backup with starter potential. Pats have the entire offseason to find a LB, they won't give away Cassel for one.

Cant seem to find his scouting report on nfl.com. Gotta link?

Honestly Casel has looked pretty good when he's gotten some time (and he'll get some more today), but I'm not sure why he's so highly regarded on this forum as a guy who could start today in the NFL.

To me, I think he's a young, very good backup level QB. Until I see more.

Why do people think he could start? However unlikely, he could be the next Delhomme, Warner or Romo. So in dynasty I like holding him for cheap.

Yeah thats why I was asking looking to add maybe a late 5th round flier qb and thinking he could easily fly under the radar. Why wouldn't he be able to start. If carol would recruit Palmer and Leinart I would think Cassel would be too far behind them Talent wise. Unless he inherited Cassel. JMO
