I'm willing to bet that Powell isn't the guy who will get those carries especially with traditionally grinders like Khiry Robinson and likely Karlos Williams after his excellent free agent visit on the roster. But what happens if Forte gets hurt which he has a tendency to miss a couple games a year? What if he hits that wall that so many RBs over 30 do? Are you saying that Powell is such a crappy RB that he couldn't give you high RB2 numbers? That is the value I'm looking for in a late round pick.
He's not a 3-down back. I just think you're hypothetically banking on a guy who probably won't be the main beneficiary if Forte were to get hurt.
Forte has only missed 9 of 128 career games. You're better off taking Alfred Morris as Elliot's backup or drafting Doctson and sit on your leagues #1 waiver priority waiting for someone's stud RB to go down and steal their handcuff.
