Matt Prater - K - Broncos
NFL suspended Broncos K Matt Prater four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
According to the Denver Post, the violation was "alcohol-related." Prater has been in the league's alcohol program since August 2011, when he was charged with DUI. It's a major fantasy blow, as Prater has one of the league's biggest legs, and is kicking for its best offense. He was Rotoworld's No. 2 kicker. Prater's backup is undrafted rookie Mitch Ewald, but the Broncos will likely search for a veteran fill-in. Prater's track record is such that his roster spot shouldn't be in danger. He is eligible to return in Week 6, as the Broncos are on bye in Week 4. Prater is no longer draftable.
