Matt Ryan most important player in your FF draft (1 Viewer)

his adp is late 6th round...why are you people targetting him in the 4th?
cuz his adp is steadily climbing
if neil rackers is being taken in the first round are you going to reach for him there too?
This doesn't really add anything. You're talking about a kicker, and you're talking about the first round. Think about Arian Foster, Ray Rice, Chris Johnson, all of whom had rising ADPs in august and were STILL bargains where they were drafted.
Because I never gave my predictions, here they are:Ceiling: 4750 pyds and 36 tdsBase: 4450 pyds and 30 tds.Where that ranks... is up to you.BUT he sure seems like a safe qb to grab.
I'm a huge fan but that can't be his floor.... right?

Why do you guys insist on debating 4th round vs. 5th round, etc., in a vacuum.... his order among the QBs is more important! Anyone see him go ahead of Vick as QB6?
I think you have that backwards chief. By this logic you are willing to buy into position runs. YOu have to think that the top 5 qb's will be gone by the end of the 2nd. The the second tier on deck. Lets say someone takes Vick in the early 3rd, do you now panic and reach for a qb in the 3rd that you had targeted in the 4rth/5th etc? If so then you are again leaving a ton of value on the board for someone else to sweep up. Getting caught in runs is the best way to nuke your draft.
My point is that in a league with 6 point TDs, and 20 yards per point, QBs are much more valuable than in a league with 4 points and 25 yards. And in 2QB leagues, they are the arguably the most important position. If Vick goes in the 3rd round, it could be a (justifiable) positional run. And yes, Vick is my cue to grab Ryan. Chief.
thats a great strategy if your goal is to finish in 6th place

So his base to you is a career year? Not logical bro
Catch the bait or be left behind. But i admit, I am a bit cynical :excited:Back to the OP: MRyans' adp is rising and rightly so. If he was the qb you were "waiting on" then you just may have to start looking at another qb or be happy taking him in the 4th or 5th.

If someone posts an argument you disagree with, post your reasoning, not just your indignation. if you'd rather just fish, go to the free for all, and be funny about it. We need new funny people over there, especially ones who don't post about politics. Please stop adding to the problem.

Taking Ryan 4th round negates the whole purpose of waiting on QB
Having a top 5 QB available in the 4th should be enough reason not to wait. So, it still just comes down to how much you believe in Ryan. If you believe he's no better than Romo, you wait because you have them as roughly equal. But if you think he's better and think he'll be gone soon, you need to step up earlier.Everyone keeps acting like it's merely a strategy issue. But that isn't true. It's actually still debate about his upside. If you are pessimistic, you think he's going too high because he's no better than Romo. If you are optimistic, you see him as value in the 4th because you are paying less for him than the Brady, Rodgers and Brees owners are paying.

Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Stafford, Newton, Vick Which of these six do you think Ryan leapfrogs?

Ice's value isn't in his arm...it in his teammates. Best WR tandem since Fitz/Boldin and a HOF TE?
exactly...defenses are going to be stressed covering Julio/White/Gonz/Douglas/Rodgers while still accounting for what has been a traditionally good running game.

You can play this game every year. It's hard to imagine that top 5/top 10 players could NOT finish that high, but every year it happens. Brees - New Orleans issues. It wouldn't surprise anyone if that team finished 8-8, Brees threw more than 20 INTs, and the offense didn't function as it used to.Stafford - He's had one healthy season. Or the Lions could emphasize the run with Smith and Leshoure (as they apparently wanted to do when they drafted Best and Leshoure). Maybe the Lions don't lead the league in passing again.Cam - stealing this from another website but it's relevant: "Despite averaging 346.5 passing yards per game through his first four starts, Newton’s average dropped to 251.75 in his next four, and then to 226.0 and 188.5, respectively, in the successive four-game sets to finish out the year. In other words, he ended the season averaging almost 150 yards per game fewer than he had in the beginning. "Vick - do I even need to say why? Although I expect he beats out Ryan in PPG, but that Ryan could easily be higher than him for the season.
