McClure's BBQ (1 Viewer)

Just a marketing idea. What if for $3.00 more or whatever, they get to take the styrofoam cooler that their beers came in home with with them? Naturally, your logo would be on the side with a cool slogan and address/web/phone/catering available. For non-payers, a metal bucket with beer works. That would give you free advertising when the styrofoam cooler shows up at tailgating parties, etc.

She is suggesting selling coolers with drinks in them.

Problem is he has very limitted space... Start setting foam coolers on the ground everywhere and you're looking at a lot of clutter I think.

The idea is a solid/novel one though! I guess if you could find smaller 6-pack sized foam coolers it could work.

Sorry Todd Andrews....not going to be open for your trip probably...but stay tuned...the workers even worked all day on Memorial day (unheard of).

No beer to sell for a bit as that is another long drawn out fight w city hall and I've had enough for now. I'll worry about it later this summer after I get established...the bar across the street will like selling to go beer i am certain.

Good idea on the coolers, but Icon is right...I don't have that kind of space.

I'm would have been selling on the side of the building this whole time if it were legal.

Cooked another whole pig this past weekend. The person that ordered and paid for it for his party was dissapointed however....they wanted to know where the brisket was

Jesus
How do you politely tell them they are stupid without telling them they're stupid?

Is there a Turducken equivalent for Pig/Cow/Sheep? Tell him he has to order one of those in order to get the brisket.

The walls are up....ceiling is painted.....walls getting painted in dining room.....tile floor in kitchen laid today....wood floors in dining room done by Wednesday.... moving quickly!

Ill be walking Magazine and will be sure to come by and see how it is coming along.

vapor ware? maybe im too sleepy to get that....
Seems to me that some of your business is going to come from the aroma that fills the area around your establishment. At the same time I'm guessing you have had many days where you feared McClure's BBW BBQ would never be reality.

ETA: Speaking of being too early...

Wishing tipsy the best of luck. Seems like good peeps over the Web
I've met him. He is good people and I know his restaurant will be a success and I haven't had a bite of his BBQ yet, but I know him and how he treats guests in his restaurant and it will be a success based on that. And, I'm sure the food will be great also because he will expect nothing else.

To clarify (got a PM asking if I was serious)... I'm most definitely just kidding. Have hung with Tipsy many times and will say he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. All of my friends, BBQfest teammates, family members, etc were all estatic when they found out he was coming back up to Memphis for BBQfest again this year (on short notice). Guy has shown tremendous hospitality at his restaurant, and has gone above and beyond in other matters outside of that. Not to mention, he's a really fun guy to throw a few beers down the hatch with. He is good people all around. The GF and I, and several other folks, will be making another pilgrimmage down to NOLA to check out McClures once it opens.

Just shared your photograph on my Facebook Tipsy from NOLA Defender. The plate of food looks fantastic. Can't wait until it's open...

Still wish i could have been a part of the funding for all this.

Getting hungry thinking of all that BBQ food and aromas...
