Ha! Yeah Tipsy's rub is potent stuff. Thoughts on the shirt?

I'll tell you when/if my shirt gets here.

Apparently it's a long way from downtown Memphis out to there we live.

Did you ever get a shipping notice or tracking? I got the order confirmation but nothing about it shipping or any tracking info.

Theyre not doing tracking for these. Keep in mind you're dealing with a small independent retailer shipping via USPS. We've all been spoiled by Amazon Prime (Myself included). USPS Tracking just adds unnecessary cost as they are worthless. I've had "Delivery notifications" nearly a week after a package has been delivered before.

No worries at all, just was wondering if there was any kind of notification they went out.

I'd just do a small pork shoulder with it. Cut in a 1:1 ratio of salt/pepper to make it perhaps a 2:1 rub/s&p ratio then apply liberally. Leave a little back to make a sauce if you do that sort of thing. With pork usually vinegar in the finish sauce gives you more of the salt/pepper component you want.

Smoke it over hickory.

It's free with Stamps.com, but I agree with you that it's worthless.

So I won a T-shirt in a twitter contest for a local chain type BBQ place last week. I got an email that I should expect it this week. Got home and wife tells me I got a package. Look over and see a red bag and immediately think of the local place because of the color.

I rip it open and say "Look honey its my free Smithfields BBQ shirt!" and hold it up to my chest.

She gives me a weird look and says "yeah except it says McClures BBQ."

I then had to explain about another magic football friend. Good times.

These are the facts-

I'm the first FBG to make an onsite McClures tshirt purchase a couple of weekends ago.

Later that same day I strolled down Bourbon St., a member of a disctinct minority- I have not been bitten by the Gay and apparently everyone else had as it was Decadence Weekend. But from a balcony above I was tossed a promotional tshirt from a radio station, a Red Stag by Jim Beam.

Both tshirts are almost identical blends of cotton and polyester- actually quite comfortable. Now I'm not saying that the tshirt is cheap like a radio station giveaway- obviously, Jimmie Beam is stepping up their game. Nice shirt Icon!

We enjoyed the food and my 5 star Yelp review is up. Looking forward to brisket on the next visit.

plus I sent him literally a truckload of my rub. I am willing to send it to anyone else too. You'll need to add cumin, paprika, granulated garlic, granulated onion, chili powder, brown sugar, kosher salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, white pepper and a baggie.
