McCoy practicing (1 Viewer)

(FFChamps) Philadelphia Eagles Running Back, LeSean McCoy (ribs), was seen practicing today at the Eagles' facility. McCoy was a limited participant in practice this week.Analysis: Its a very good sign for any Fantasy Manager with McCoy on their roster. Since hes practicing today theres a good chance hell play on Sunday, but keep in mind the Eagles play in the Sunday Night game, so the Eagles wont make it official until after the 1st set of games have already been played. Set your rosters very carefully, and leave room to insert McCoy, but also have a good backup plan. If McCoy doesnt play, Mike Bell would take over as the stater.

Staying on my bench. Too risky. Playing Fred Jackson in his place.
It could be risky- especially given the 8:30 PM Sun night start so other options could be off the table. McCoy is one tough hombre' though- as says he hasn't missed a game to injury dating back to high school - FWIW

Rolling with McCoy over Spiller and Blount. If he can't go, I plan on picking up Buckley, who I think is better suited than Mike Bell for the Kolb ppr rb machine.

hmm, Really wanted to go with Bell, This makes it allot harder. Guess I will have to choose between Moreno and Tolbert instead of Bell.

THE NEWS

According to Jordan Raanan of CSN Philadelphia, coach Andy Reid believes LeSean McCoy (ribs) will play a "full game" Sunday.

OUR VIEW

McCoy felt "pretty good" after practicing Friday, and Reid anticipates him receiving a normal workload against the Niners. He's a safe start as an RB2, although Mike Bell figures to get a lot of the short work.

In a PPR league McCoy is a must start this week.

Kolb will dink and dunk constantly and Mike Bell will take the bruising.

This is good news but he's still on my bench and I am looking forward to seeing how his ribs hold up. He will be back in my lineup next week if things go well.

How he "holds up"? He held up for the whole 2nd half last week (held up very well I might add) with a broken rib so I don't know what else you are waiting to see?

Hmm.. Would you start him over Ryan Mathews? McCoy is my starter every week but I have my doubts this week.

I want to see if the padding he wears will not aggravate his ribs. Practice does not equate to real game hitting. I want to see how his ribs hold up when multiple defenders are flying at him and hitting the side of his body. I'm a seasoned fantasy football player. I have had RBs in the past make it through a full weeks practice only to aggravate the injury during the game. So I just want to see how he holds up this week before putting him back. We're talking about cracked ribs. That injury does not heal within one week. Even with padding a football helmet hit on it could make things unpredictable.

I understand what you are saying. The padding can be awkward I guess but if he is practicing with it today and he was good enough for the team to give the thumbs up I am thinking he should be fine. If you have a better option it's ok to start someone else I think but with byes a lot of people (myself included) really need him to play this week. Hopefully Captain Checkdown the 2nd will help out his stats.

I'm starting him. I now have four Philly RB's on my team, so if he can't go hopefully I have the backup and can swap him out for one of them right before the game.

It's a Sunday night game. Unless you have the ability to set your lineup five minutes before the night game, good luck.

not that anyone cares.. the guy I face picked up bell last night and started him... it's a battle of the undefeated... and I'm liking my odds... "there can be only one" :lmao:

Coach Andy Reid said Friday that McCoy, who is listed as questionable with a cracked rib, will be full go for Sunday's game against San Francisco, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports.

I have never even taken him out of my lineup. All the people that wasted a roster spot with Bell should have listened.
