McDonald's year over year sales were terrible. How would you fix (1 Viewer)

Oddly enough...I think they've switched to the brown bag to blend in a bit more.

That stark white bag with McD's colors stood out across the parking lot.

In today's more health conscious world...getting out of your car with a large McD's bag is embarrassing to some.

That's the thing really...McD's is so tarnished that's it's embarrassing to admit you eat there.
Wow, thats incredibly pretentious of you.
It's probably true.
Agree

My kid and my nephew both will comment about how gross and unhealthy McDonald's is when we drive by one. They're 11 and 8. Just my opinion but I believe it definitely carries a stigma now.

I'd sell soon...before the novelty wears off.
McDonald's breakfast is not a novelty, it's the best breakfast via drive-thru you can get.
Chicken Biscuit from Chik Fil A is so much better
So one franchise, with approx 1/8 of the locations, that isn't open on Sunday's, has one menu item on it that's better than McDonald's and that = a better drive thru breakfast?
The rest of both Chik Fil A's and McDonald's breakfast menu items are irrelevant when put up next to the Chicken Biscuit.

if Chik Fil A would make waffles to go with a chicken breast (same ones from their sandwich or biscuit), that would be so :moneybag:

I can't get a McMuffin 24 hours a day because I live in Biscuit country. This all day breakfast thing is a complete failure.

Chicken and waffles from Chick Fil A would destroy all other fast food breakfasts

It's probably because it's cheaper not to bleach the paper.

It's not even a ####### breakfast item.

This is correct and it's what I said long ago in this thread. Education is actually working. THANKS OBAMA!!!!

That said, I took my sons through a McDonald's drive-thru on the Oregon Coast early in the morning on our way back to Portland. We all got a breakfast sandwich and while I wouldn't say it knocked any of our socks off, we all devoured them and they do the job. Fast, cheap, good enough...like my women.

Since when is a biscuit strictly breakfast? I associate it more with dinner than anything else. Or even dessert.

I like the chicken biscuit sandwich alright from Chick-Fil-A, but there's no reason why this is a "breakfast only" item. A breakfast sandwich requires an egg. Sorry.

They had a chicken bagel sandwich that was unreal...and I don't really like bagels. But they changed the bagel at some point and it's not as great but still better than anything on McD's menu. And that chicken biscuit is world-ending to all other fast food breakfast competitors.

they will add egg to a chicken biscuit

you're welcome

I live in MA, they have 1 chick-fil-a about 45 min from me that has a drive-thru/isn't in a mall.

I have gone. Multiple times. But it isn't fun.

Hey guy, you know what a fertilized and developed egg turns into right? Stop crapping on us who have a preference for matured eggs.

And, the best breakfast sandwich is the chick-fil-a spicy chicken biscuit...hands down.

Just spent about $6 on two McDoubles, small fries, mozzarella sticks and a small Coke. Yeah, way to go health nut. But honestly, compared to the $9 you now need to spend on a Quarter pounder meal, this hit the spot just fine.

I think next time I'll pass on the sticks and get 2 small fries as part of their 2 for $2 deal.

Yep. I'm definitely embarrassed/ashamed the few times a year I pull through a McD's.

Are t small fries like .99 anyways? Might as well get 2 McDubs

Dang! I haven't been paying attention until this thread got my attention but MCD stock has been killing it since last summer.

Biscuit is better than the muffin.

I can only get the muffin here all day.

McMuffin all day, every day over the dry, Saltine cracker they call a Biscuit.

McDonald’s New Kale Salads Have More Calories Than Some Of Their Most Fattening Menu Items

"…Once you plop the accompanying Asiago Caesar dressing on the “crispy chicken” version, the salad’s nutritional profile doesn’t look so good. According to McDonald’s own numbers, the salad tops up at 730 calories, 53 grams of fat, and 1,400 milligrams of salt.
Combined with the Greek Feta Dressing, the “I’m Greek-ing Out” salad with grilled chicken amounts to: 420 calories, 26 grams of fat, and 1,080 milligrams of sodium."

In addition to the McPick 2 for $2 thing they have going on now, they're adding a McPick 2 for $5 promotion around here. Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, 10-piece nugget, and Filet-o-Fish are the options. Not a bad deal, all those things are around $5 individually after tax.

They're long overdue giving the Big Mac a price cut.

A baby? Chick-Fil-A is making its chicken biscuit out of babies??

Where? I'd love a chicken biscuit
Westborough.
Jesus
LOL I work in Marlboro periodically, so it isn't horrible to go out there. But yea.
Do the Mall franchises not do breakfast? There is one in the Burlington Mall food court, I'd like to try this breakfast biscuit some time but no way am I driving to Westborough

I doubt it, but I don't know for sure.

I despise the Burlington mall though, it's legit one of the 7th circles of hell. Parking, traffic it's all horrible. I usually go to Pheasant Lane in Nashua.

McDonald's is now jacking their 2 for $2 menu up to 2 for $5.

They really are flailing around in that company lately.

Have they brought back the Jalapeno McDouble yet?
No, but there's a pilot program where the cashier will stick a firecracker in your butt and light it while charging you $3 to contribute to cut down sections of the rainforest.  They're finding a similar demographic supports this new item.

"Starting Monday, customers will be able to select two of the following for $5: a Big Mac, 10-piece chicken McNuggets, a Filet-O-Fish sandwich, chicken nuggets and fries and a quarter pounder with cheese.

When the promotion started in January, you could get a McDouble, a McChicken, small fries, and mozzarella sticks for $2"

Are at McDonald's for the first time in forever had a couple cheeseburgers. Didn't taste like a burger but it was excellent. I was semi-hammered.

Yeah, the other deal was a much better deal - if you like to eat there.

And I do - a couple McDoubles, extra onions, no pickle and fries twice a month.

:lmao:

This is such a perfect way to put it. Their burgers don't taste like a hamburger you would make yourself, or get at a decent restaurant. But they are still so good.

"McDonalds: it doesn't really look or taste like beef...but it's kinda good if you're drunk and there's no Taco Bell or White Castle around"

Good luck with that.

"Some of the challenges we've had in the US have been somewhat self-inflicted," McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook said during a conference call in July. "We moved away from the Dollar Menu and didn't replace it with significant-enough value in the eyes of consumers."
So you repeat it again, well done.
