That is a disgusting time. Might be enough to push him into round 1, whether he deserves it or not.Chris Johnson 4.24(official).......nuff said!
I don't see Wright on the list of WRs for the Combine...IdDid Alexander Wright (WR from Auburn) run at the combine? If memory serves, he ran 4.07 and 4.11 at Auburn's pro day. I'm sure it was fast-track/wind-aided, whatever, but does anyone remember him running at the combine?
I guess you trading up to 1.01 just became alittle more pricy.Darren McFadden-RB- Player Feb. 23 - 12:28 pm et Arkansas RB Darren McFadden reportedly "came off as indifferent" about his character question marks during interviews Friday.McFadden got in trouble a few times in college. The incidents were never overly serious, but teams would probably expect him to treat them as a learning experience. "There have been some red flags with him," new Rams VP of player personnel Billy Devaney acknowledged.Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution

I have no desire to trade up to 1.01. I traded for the 1.3 in one league and I feel that's the perfect position. By the way, 40 yd dash speed is a small part of what it takes to be a successful RB in the NFL. I don't think I will let that cloud my judgment of his glaring liabilities (no power and no vision). What did Chris Henry run at last year's combine?I guess you trading up to 1.01 just became alittle more pricy.Darren McFadden-RB- Player Feb. 23 - 12:28 pm et Arkansas RB Darren McFadden reportedly "came off as indifferent" about his character question marks during interviews Friday.McFadden got in trouble a few times in college. The question I have is, if this is misinformation that is meant to make him drop in the draft, which team do you think is most likely the culprit?![]()

Easy.....because of the player involved and the spotlight of the moment. Especially with the increased, you can call it overhyped, which it probably is, nonetheless, attention that is thrust upon the combine now has greatly enhanced its perception....even among scouts. Guys have made a tremendous amount of money, moving from potential 3rd, even 4th rounders (see Fabian Washington, Matt Jones, etc.) to 1st round picks simply off of the combine, and most notably the 40 times. But back to the point...the scrutiny that McFadden has withstood from the likes of Mayock and Baldinger, and to respond with such a dynamic performance in the 40, and I do also give a little more credence to RBs of his size (ht and wght) that can run like this.....Combine this 40 with the PRODUCTION that he put up, and then it's even more pronounced.....Sure, Chris Johnson ran a 4.24, great, and probably helped himself win some money as well, but McFadden's is much more impressive as he is 10x the player that Johnson has shown to be.........and much bigger. Nobody knew he was this explosive, as most people even believed that Felix Jones was much faster than McFadden, I've read all the comments before, and nobody saw this coming.......Sure, I'm hyping it up too, but it deserves it to some degree.....SCINTILLATING!4.27 is awesome, but how in the world is this one of the top 40-yard dashes ever at the combine?Well, you can pull up any thread I've ever commented on re: the rookie RB class, and RunDMc has always been at the top of my list..........Never wavered.......sure the 4.27 was even better than what I expected, but that's what great ones do, they step up to the challenge and close the deal.......This is one of the Top 2-3 40-yd performances EVER at the combine.......doesn't have to be one of the top 3 times ever, but in the overall scheme of things with the spotlight shining brightly on him and with all the ??s that people were tossing out there, just a jaw-dropping performanceIt's easy to say this AFTER he runs a 4.27. If he had run something like a low 4.4 today then it would've opened the door for serious debate. I think this time cemented his status as a top 10 RB and the first RB off the board. But make no mistake, he needed this.Overanalyzing can be a very dangerous thing. I want to hear from everyone who had dropped McFadden down the RB rankings. Stop taking Mayock as gospel about everything.......McFadden is a true playmaker and CLEARLY the #1 RB in this draft, always has been........
your leagues have any openings?McFadden officially a 4.33 now. I still take Mendenhall over him.
what about broad, vert, and bench? feel the same way?If it hasn't been said:REMINDER: 40 time is over-rated Year in, year out
No. If it did, you would be punished by the likes of me yearly. Consider yourself lucky.your leagues have any openings?McFadden officially a 4.33 now. I still take Mendenhall over him.

bring Mayock with ya.

Oddly enough, 4.33 is the exact same time Norwood ran at the combine and the exact same time Reggie Bush ran at his Pro Day.

Norwood's BJ at 10-2. Just IN CASE. Stewart won't post this.Oddly enough, 4.33 is the exact same time Norwood ran at the combine and the exact same time Reggie Bush ran at his Pro Day.![]()
Exactly. It's a 40 yard dash people. Who cares about .1 second other than Deion Sanders and he's an idiot. Mendenhall: bigger, perfect size for RB, easily fast enough, stronger, catches the ball, 3 down back.McFadden: fumbler, goes down easy on contact, little experience catching the ball, skinny pipe cleaner legs waiting for injury, character issues.Fast time, but some overreaction in this thread.

Some guys are just consistently 'late to the party'.....I can imagine that after Peterson lit up the combine last year many pundits also weren't overly impressed......even though he backed it up with a marvelous collegiate resume as well.....Heed the words from a wise man, who once told me......"The train is docked at the station, so don't wait to get your ticket 'cause it's about to move full-steam ahead"Fast time, but some overreaction in this thread.

The broad jump favors tall players with long legs. That's why the receivers typically do better than the backs. McFadden's body type is well suited to that event. The vertical jump is more about power and leg strength. McFadden's mark in that drill was below what you normally see from a first round RB. Ditto Mendenhall, which was surpising given his size and strength. So His broad should be better.Just saying...Stewart is also 30 pounds heavier than Norwood. Just saying...Norwood's BJ at 10-2. Thanks. But why the hate?EBF and Construx -- I have been working very hard for 1.01 in Z30. It's why I haven't made any other deals, and why I have been avoiding the discussion. All the doubters have possibly been helping my cause, but it was probably a lost cause to begin with. Bloom can confirm that I am of the opinion, and have been for some time, that McFaddenis the top player in this draft at any position.

We'll see. I think he's a talented player who will make an impact at the next level. He's certainly not a perfect prospect though. I think the real risk with him is that he ends up being more of a change of pace guy than a true workhorse, which would hurt his FF value.EBF and Construx -- I have been working very hard for 1.01 in Z30.
