This has not been verified, but a trusted source of a Philadelphia radio host on 97.5 says McNabb has been traded to St Louis for the 33rd pick in the 2010 draft. This is not in stone and could be completely b.s. But do with it what you will.

Hope so..been scooping Avery up dirt cheap. And the Eagles should make this move while they can get a good price for him

As a Rams homer, awesome. As a guy with Sidney Rice, BRandon Marshall and Avery FA's on my main squad and only to tags (Franchise and TRansition), Avery's gonna be spensive to keep with open bidding...

wow, why would McNabb want to go from a team that is at least in the running for the playoffs every year, to one of the worst in the league?

McNabb would be a lot more likely to get a contract extension in St. Louis than in Philly. Also the Rams do have both Spags and Shurmer(who was McNabb's QB coach in Philly once upon a time) so its not like he'll be totally unfamiliar with the staff.I really love this move for the Rams(if true) I'd go so far as to say this move by itself would move them ahead of Seattle. Baby steps.

1. His former QB coach is now the OC in STL - Pat Shurmur.2. The West is weak. With McNabb at QB, Suh on defense, a healthy SJax, and maybe better performance out of Jason Smith, the Rams might even be favorites.3. The Rams are more likely to give him a fat 4 year contract than the Eagles are as long as KK is around.

He dosen't but it's not up to him.
He does have some say, because the rams likely will have some window to work out a long term deal - especially if they are giving up an early second rounder.
if I were him at this point, I wouldn't be shedding any tears. They have been un appreciative since he was drafted, and if he were going to get them a ring it would've happened already

I would think the Rams might then try to trade the #1 to the Skins or Browns or somebody that wants Bradford and get back a 2nd to replace the one they traded for McNabb and still get a good player in the top 10. Could work out great for them if they could pull it off.

I think with the possibility of a new CBA, and this be the last year of absurd top 10 rookie deals, you won't see a top 3 pick dealt. JMO.

News Articles > Eagles | McNabb hopes for quick decision on QBs Published Wed Mar 24 3:20:22 p.m. CT 2010

(KFFL) Ashley Fox, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb said he wants to win a championship in Philadelphia but understands the team's quarterback situation and hopes the Eagles make a decision quickly. "I said all along that I would like to win a Super Bowl and finish my career in Philadelphia. I understand the situation well, and just hope whichever direction the Eagles decide to go in, they do it quickly. I think that would be best for me, [QB Kevin Kolb], [QB Michael Vick], the Eagles and any other teams involved. No matter what happens, I have already begun preparing to have an outstanding season in 2010," McNabb said.

No kidding. The Rams would likely give the the pick straight up for a lower pick to just save the money. But more than likely it just won't happen. And I doubt it happens with Washington as they were just gift wrapped BRadford. Maybe with to get ahead of Washington but I seriously doubt it...

Brian Stull of ESPN 101 disputes a rumor that the Rams have traded the No. 33 pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Donovan McNabb.

Stull calls the rumor, which originated from a New York radio station, "incorrect, or at least premature." However, Philadelphia station 97.5 has also apparently gone public with the report, although we're unable to confirm it. Acquiring McNabb would presumably take St. Louis out of the running for Sam Bradford. McNabb, entering his age-34 season, would also require a multi-year extension, in addition to the premium draft choice.

This is interesting to me. Seems like a quick dispute for a rumor that isn't very old. Who is Brian Stull?

As a Giants fan I can only say, great job by the Eagles. Thanks for getting rid of your best QB. Appreciate it.
Even Joe Montana and Brett Favre got traded. At some point the Eagles have to move on at QB. Rather have them do it one year too early, then one year too late.
