With pick 2.47 the Baltimore Ravens select....

Adoree' Jackson, CB USC

An incredible athlete that sometimes gets into trouble due to technique but has all the tools to develop a special, game changing CB. Is dangerous with the ball in his hands and will be the most dangerous returner the Ravens have had since the days of Jacobey Jones. It's easier to take a risk on this high upside player with the veteran leadership of Weddle as a safeties to help him develop. There is even some talk he is so good with the ball in his hands he might get a crack at offense one day, but for now the Ravens are pretty desperate for CB help.

Round 1 - Mike Williams, WR Clemson

Round 2 - Adoree' Jackson, CB USC

Nice picks, worried all the guys I am targeting for the Lions will be gone by 21.

2.48 the Minnesota Vikings select OG/OT Dion Dawkins.

He may be able to play right tackle but if not I think he can contribute at guard.

With pick 2.49 the Washington Redskins select....

Malik McDowell, DE/DT Mich.St.

While I LIKED Corey Davis in the first round as a good fit for WAS, I LOVE McDowell in round 2. I have even seen some people project McDowell to the 'Skins in the first round. They need help along the defensive line for sure with Chris Baker unfortunately looking like he's walking away but I'd argue WAS needs help up the middle and he would be the best pick even if they found a way to keep Baker. I'll admit he is another pick being made on "potential" which is always dangerous and means he is guilty of uneven play. There are people that think he compares to Buckner and Armstead in the past two drafts if he can focus better, but he's supposed to be a hard worker just immature.

I considered McDowell for the Vikings until I read he had the worst interview at the combine. Some issues with giving up on his team last season as well?

I just didn't see that fitting in with the (purported) Vikings culture.

Yeah, I agree with all that but if he was a mature finished product to go with his ability he probably wouldn't have even been available to WAS in the first round, let alone second. If the Redskins were willing to gamble on Junior Galette of all people something tells me they aren't sweating the character concerns too much.

I'm not too sure about the Vikings culture because I remember that Bengal defense having character question guys all over the place. In the end I think OL is a much bigger need for MIN. They have a defense that can contend right now if they can score points, and they even have some nice skill position players but they aren't at the level that can overcome that O-line.

I have some concerns about if Sharif Floyd is going to be healthy enough to play this season or not. The 5th year option is garunteed for injury and last I heard Floyd still has not recovered yet. Tom Johnson is getting old.

From what I have seen of McDowell he does look special. I know Zimmer likes players with a lot of length and he has that as well.

Hi college stats not as impressive as his highlight reel.

He mostly played interior DL out of necessity and for his build, it's crazy how good he was at taking on double teams. He has a serious anchor and is a good athlete.

Tampa Bay continues to add weapons to their offense with the selection of:

2.19 Curtis Samuel, WR/RB, Ohio State
Samuel and Ross. You instantly changed the entire dynamic of that offense. Best case scenario for Winston owners. Sad face for Mike Evans owners.

Huh. I was all set to take Samuel. Guess I'll double down on the offensive line.

2.20 Denver Broncos - Taylor Moton OG/OT Western Michigan

I haven't watched much more than his highlights but based on podcast voices I pay close attention to his low-lights are nearly as bad as his highlights are good. I guess he spends a lot of time on the ground, and he can have lesser OLmen get in his head, he doesn't play through injury especially well, and disappear for stretches. But it's so rare to find a guy that size that can get a legitimate push in the pass rush(even if his sack totals don't reflect that) you know someone will take a chance on getting the most out of him. Probably a boom-or-bust type player. It feels like WAS is right on the edge of breaking through to the playoffs or a complete rebuild so I felt like gambling after taking what I felt was a very safe pick in the first round.

Hard to tell with regard to Evans. In a way you would think Samuel/Ross have such a different skill set that it might give Evans more room to operate as defenses would have to respect the speed of the rookies. But that was also my thinking last year when HOU added all that speed around Hopkins..... and I dunno if you remember but it didn't quite work out like that.

With pick 2.20, SF takes:

Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida

Position of need and I love everything I have read about the guy.  Fast and mean.  Coaches praise his leadership and character.

SF Picks so far:

1.2 Jonathan Allen   DT  Alabama

2.2 Gareon Conley, CB Ohio State

2.20 Jarrad Davis, LB  Florida  Trade up.  Give 3.2 and 4.2

2.21 Detroit Lions select

CB Quincy Wilson, Florida

I really wanted to get a pass rusher somewhere in this draft. Reddick might be able to fill that roll on 3rd downs. At this point, I don't want to force a pick. Wilson seems as good as nearly as corner already taken and is a 1st round talent available in the 2nd round. (I am still double checking to make sure he didn't get picked). He would make a nice addition across from Slay. Wilson has prototypical size and strength to deal with big WRs like Evans, Alshon, etc. Wilson's speed isn't great, but Slay can lock down the burners to help protect Wilson.

Seattle willing to offer a 6th round pick to move up from 2.26 to an on-the clock.

that's who I would have taken if I kept the Browns pick

Good pick.  He was my upcoming target.  Might have been my pick at 1.26 if Bolles had been gone.
6' 3" great combine measurements, plays zone and and good in run support.

There are a few other corners I like as well but none of them had the size speed combo King has.

With the 55th pick, the Giants select:

D'Onta Foreman RB, Texas

with newly signed B Marshall added to the fold, and no real OL option I care to draft, let's just keep juicing this offense up. Thought A. Kamara here as well, but with so many mouths to feed already on offense, Foreman is a great option as a bruiser who specifically runs the ball(only 7 catches last year)...and keep Perkins, Vereen as the 3rd down/receiving backs ....

1.23- David Njoku

2.55- D'onta Freeman
