Not a big fee but $10 to win 100 or runner up for free entry is pretty dang good. I love the MFL product and look at it as a great way to get in mock drafts that also mean something. Way better than ESPN now in my mind plus you have a chance to win some money.

It's interesting to learn that MFL is finally moving beyond a 'simple' hosting site. This should help them compete with RTSports and other customizable hosts.

Now, if only they'd offer a live auction draft option ...

Way nice! Pretty much the cost of a free league, but you can actually win something and people should be a little more serious about it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is it appears to have worst to first waivers and no trades. I could see not having trades with the number of leagues, but I really wish they had a salary cap waiver system.

Big fan of the high percentage paid back. I like having the biggest chunk going to the winner, but with second place only getting an entry for next year you'll see a lot of teams just giving up quickly. That and only four teams will make the playoffs.

People use it for hosting for years and I've never heard of any problems. If you're really worried you could always go to walmart and get a prepaid card for like $3.

Only major drawback right now, and I assume it's because they just launched, is the same teams in both leagues. Not all 12 are the same, but I think 6 of the 12 are in both leagues.

The owners seem pretty savvy and experienced. There have been a couple "what?!?" picks so far, but that's not unusual for any league.

I joined a couple of these yesterday. The only option I saw was through Paypal. That is how I paid. I like MFL in general, but most of my leagues are at RTsports this year. The drafting for MFL pretty much sucks compared to anyplace else I have been, but that could be because I am not as used to it.

Great value and better then doing Free Mock drafts in my opinion. The only drawback for me would be doing too many of these and having to manage so many teams each week. I almost prefer a $10 BestBall league where these cheapie leagues I can have the fun of drafting and not worry about managing my small money teams and focus on managing 5-6 of my big money leagues.

That being said I will probably sign up for a bunch of these haha

Surprised it took this long, but a nice move by them. Especially going with PPR concept. Start low $$ level and work up. Gonna cut these middle man commish types outta the picture as they increase entry fee levels.

Thanks for posting, always interesting to watch some actual drafts taking place rather than just going by ADP. Brees was an interesting one, goes 1.05 in the first draft and 2.11 in the second? Kind of odd considering you said it was mostly the same group of owners.

I am in 3 of the leagues and really like them. The one big problem is the waiver system. Worst to First waivers reward the teams that don't draft great but draft just good enough to pick up that difference maker in the first couple weeks that takes their team to a championship. In my opinion that is really not that fair. I hope next year MFL replaces the waiver system with a Blind Bidding Auction. That would be the most fair way to do waivers.

I was surprised with the double TE picks to be honest Rizzler... with 1 pt per PPR (and it looks like it's 1 pt regardless of position), I would think receiving RBs are where the money is at in this league. With drafting DMC I really resigned myself to the RB-RB-RB strategy... I was pretty happy to see Bradshaw at 3.11 with this league's scoring... even more happy to see Roddy White at 4.02. I felt like a criminal picking him there.For those following our draft: Draft 65646

I think at this point of the season, most people are using this for a more 'serious' mock draft purpose than anything else.Rookies and bums will have hardly heard of MFL.... they're all over at Yahoo!

I guess I'm used to it. I'm in a dynasty league that took about 3 weeks to do a 7 round rookie/FA draft.
