Ministry of Pain

The Saints are going to start a rookie I've never heard of assuming both their other QBs cannot clear protocol. That would mean Miami should be able to scrape enough points to win but I want to be clear, this game could easily be 10-6 going into the 4th Q, Miami has been winning lately but they don't blow teams out and I can't imagine the script changes tonight on the road.

-My buddy who is a Phinsfan and lives in LA will be in the Superdome with his daughter who recently beat Hodgkins, sitting in one of the end zone porches that sits in front but must be pretty high up, can't wait to see his photos. The Saints are his 2nd favorite team even though he doesn't like to admit it.

Go!

As a cancer survivor myself I can say AWESOME news on your friends daughter winning the battle of her life,changes your perspective on life for sure.

As for this game I agree it should be low scoring,nothing like the Sunday Night massacre in Dallas. Both defenses are playing well but maybe an edge to The Saints,I mean they just crushed Brady and company on the road. I see a heavy dose of Alvin Kamara running,catching check downs and maybe some wildcat. At home in the dome I have to go with The Saints,sat....

New Orleans- 16

Miami- 9

Good stuff about your buddy and his daughter.

The big news for Miami is that they control their destiny after multiple losses by AFC teams yesterday. The next 3 games will be a big test for Tua versus good defenses: NO, TEN, NE.  But NO will possibly  be without multiple staters on defense due to COVID:

>>Here’s how the base defense looks going into tomorrow:

DE Cam Jordan
DT David Onyemata
DT Shy Tuttle
DE Marcus Davenport — QUESTIONABLE
LB Demario Davis — COVID
LB Kwon  — COVID
LB Kaden Elliss — COVID
CB Lattimore
CB Paulson Adebo
S Marcus Williams
S Malcolm Jenkins — COVID<<

I’m hoping for check down galore to Kamara. Need a solid outing from him to advance to the finals. 18 + points is probably needed.

Need saints to win tonight ti win my weekly pick ems and some decent coin.   I'm not confident in book though.  If miami gets a couple scores that seems like all they would need to win

Are we in the clear now that it is game day, no testing or possibility of any new cases or players being held out at this stage?

the Saints have 21 players on the COVID list, including:

* top 2 QBs (Hill, Siemian)
* top 2 TEs (Trautman, Johnson)
* starting SS (Jenkins)
* 3 of the top 4 LBs (Davis, Alexander, Elliss)
* starting RT (Ramczyk)
* 2 of the top D linemen (Roach, Granderson)
* Pro Bowl ST player (Gray)

in addition, the following players are questionable not due to COVID:

* starting LT (Armstead)
* starting DE (Davenport)
* starting WR (Smith)
* starting FS (Williams)

oh, and 4 coaches also on the COVID list.

All I can think about was Texans with the whole team basically out, whipping up on the Chargers. Weird what motivates a team.🤔

I think the Chargers took it for granted. Texans not a good team and all the players out, human nature is to relax. Dolphins have been playing on the edge all year and knew the Saints are a good team before going in. They also saw a depleted saints team beat the defending champs last week. So no way they are taking this lightly. Saints are a tough as nails team though with a great coaching staff.

Miami 20 New Orleans 17

I see similar although maybe even lower scoring like Miami 16-10 or something. Saints defense is good enough to keep them in it, but 4th string qbs just don’t win nfl games very often.

I’m definitely taking the under.

 Could see a letdown game happening from the Saints D. They always come loaded for bear against TB. May not be as dominant as most expect

Saints win in a blowout is what you're saying?

MOP I think we (Dolphins) only have 5 OL available in this one.

Brutal.

But I expect a Dolphins win tonight.....I mean how in the world are the Saints supposed to even compete tonight?

I think Miami wins comfortably tonight. NO always gets up for TB. Miami has quietly been on fire, winning 6 in a row after a 1-7 start, more importantly, 5-0 since Tua came back.

Ian Book was a poor prospect, and likely will be a downgrade from Siemian let alone Winston/Hill.

I'll say Miami 24, New Orleans 10. With a nice game from Jaylen Waddle(AKA the NFL's best rookie WR) to lead the way, and Alvin Kamara getting the 1 Saints TD.

Since @Todem says Miami only has 5 OL, I would expect their Tight Ends to stay in and block, lot of 2 man routes with Parker and Waddle...

Miami will have to get some short fields from their Defense feasting on a rookie 3rd string practice squad QB. If they can do that at least a couple times Miami should find success.

Miami 17...New Orleans 13

Can all Dolphin fans and Tua investors please give us a big left handed LFG in support of Tua when we fist pump tonight? Need a good showing from Tua tonight to make it to the Ship!

@ESPNStatsInfo

No team in NFL history has had a 7-game losing streak and a 7-game winning streak in the same season.

The Dolphins look to change that tonight.

If they beat the Saints, ESPN's FPI gives Miami a 19% chance of becoming the first team to make the playoffs after starting 1-7.

Book had happy feet in college (ND fan). Payton’s got to settle that for him or that’ll not be the last one.

They need to call him a designed run as he will get in better rhythm that way vs short passes.

did he just drop his mouth guard walking up to the line?

this is like reading/watching Paper Lion (George Plimpton)

How does Waddle get that open as really the viable threat on third and seven?

And was that a fumble? Sure didn't look like it.
