Has Jones ever knocked anyone out?  I thought he just danced around and jabbed.

For some reason I was thinking of Mayweather, fixated on the Jr.

i totally missed the "B" before clicking on this thread.  reads a lot different when you think everyone is talking about Air Jordan.

If he wants to prove to people that he's a real boxer, fight a real boxer that's boxing now. There are plenty of fighters in their late 20s and early 30s that will fight MBJ.  Why would he pick a 50 year old retired boxer?  Just to say you beat a 50 year old retired boxer?

If MBJ won, he would look bad because he beat a retired boxer.

If MBJ lost, he would look bad because he lost against a retired boxer.

There's no upside to it.
This is basically the plot to Rocky Balboa.

That was my first thought. I can't imagine they let Jordan fight without headgear. He's got hundreds of millions of dollars potentially he can earn over the rest of his acting career.

It's a good example I think of sometimes people just don't understand the reality of how good the people at elite level are. Even an older guy like Jones.
I'm pretty confident I could take Ali, now.

So I don't really know what Jordan can do, but I watched some video of Roy's last fight, from 9 months ago, and he is reeeeeeeally slooooooow.

I dunno. But also there are real fights with real fighters that we can discuss, MMA or boxing. How far can Patrick Dempsey throw a football?

I would need more info to answer this properly. I don't know Jordan's skills or training other then in a make believe movie. Maybe he has been  training , sparring and is awesome. Maybe if thats the case he has a shot. We just dont know. I do train regularly and sparred for years. One thing I learned is NEVER judge a book by the cover. This goes both ways. I have sparred guys who were bigger then me and very intimidating. Some of them were intimidating enough that I did not want to spar them. Turns out some of those guys if not most of them wilted after getting punched in the face or if I wore them down. I am thinking of one guy in particular who was huge but as soon as I hit him he turned into a scared guy who would flinch and close his eyes.

I have also gotten my ### handed to me by guys who look so out of shape I thought they may have a heart attack if they walk a block. Both situations were great learning tools.

Having said all that I suspect Roy Jones would finish him pretty quick. Boxing is/was Roy's life.

I do really really well at my job. People think I'm pretty smart. I know that is not really true. I just got good at one thing because that is all I do. All Roy did was box and he was very good at it. Pull up some of Roy's highlights its scary stuff.

What about Michael B. Jordan vs Sophie B. Hawkins in a karaoke battle?
I was thinking last night that limiting it to just 2 is leaving meat on the bone.

Fatal 4-way karaoke / 2 on 2 half court:

Michael B. Jordan and  Al B. Sure  vs.  Sophie B. Hawkins and World B. Free
