Michael Clayton (1 Viewer)

After a terrific rookie campaign, Michael Clayton was a major bust in 2005, largely due to a number of injuries that bothered him throughout the season and never allowed him to get on track. Joey Galloway had no problem stepping up, and put up the season that some expected from Clayton.

Clayton should be completely healthy now, and he could make an excellent value in drafts this season, if he can truly prove that last season was an abberation due to his injuries. Will he return to his 2004 form and possibly build on it, or will he settle into being a solid but unspectacular WR2 and put up numbers somewhere between 2004 and 2005? Any projections for Clayton vs Galloway this season?

Hard to tell. Clayton is my #1 sleeper in 2006. Galloway looked superb in 2005 and if healthy looks to have 2-3 solid years left in him. Both have proven they can be solid #1 WR's.

I wouldn't doubt if both were near or above 1000 yards. I don't believe both have ever been healthy at the same time. Simms, Cadillac, Clayton, Galloway, Alex Smith looks like a very nice offense.

I'd have to think there are some owners out there that still have very high hopes for Clayton if you watched him in 2004 and he won't fall completely off the radar.

michael clayton is one of those players that a lot of owners will tab as a "sleeper"...which of course makes him anything but one. he'll be drafted much higher than other legitimate "sleepers" will be selected

he absolutly killed my keeper team this year. he'll have to be around really late for me to take him again.

I think he qualifies as more of a value pick than a sleeper. If anything, he's a nice post-hype sleeper.
