THe Falcons have been very honest about this injury right from the start. They are not manipulating the injury report in any way. They said it was a high ankle sprain right from the start but not a severe one and in turn may not cause him to miss as much time as most. Turner is also one tough guy and has already recovered from one high ankle sprain when he played with the Chargers much sooner than was expected. Some guys just have the ability to recover quickly and are able to play well through pain. Turner is one of those guys.

How'd that work out for you...?
The Falcons made a terrible decision rushing Turner back. Hindsight is 20/20 but come on, obviously Norwood was a go, and Snelling was more than capable of rushing 12 times for 33 yards.....2.8 per carry.
Upset Snelling owner?First off I did not start Turner this week....
Secondly I was in the camp that felt Turner should have rested instead of playing.
Also yesterday, looking at the stats of the Falcons running game in general it was not very good.
Snelling had 4 carries for 8 yards... 2 ypc
Norwood had 6 carries for 22 yards... 3.6 ypc
He reinjured his ankle otherwise his stat line may have been better. I did not watch the game and did not get a chance to see how he played or looked. I am sure he looked and felt fine enough in warm ups that the coaching staff, medical staff, and Turner himself felt like he could play and be successful.
Also, the Falcons Oline has been inconsistent this season.....
When healthy in 3 other games Turner has had a 2.3 ypc, a 3.7 ypc, and a 2.7 ypc.
Even had Snelling received the bulk of the carries yesterday he may have been just as bad.
