Mike Wallace=Alvin Harper (1 Viewer)

If I hear one more "expert" say this guy is a great player, I may puke. Catch a 7-yd curl or slant on 3rd-and-6 before asking for Fitz/Calvin money you one trick pony. I was encouraged not one team offered him a contract to "steal" him from Pitt. These NFL front offices are finally catching on and it only took 20 yrs of maddening FA signings.

Well, I for one think he is MUCH better at his "1-trick" than DeSean Jackson is, and look at the deal that HE got. Like it or not, Wallace is a top-10 to top-15 WR in the league.

Miie Wallace has achieved more in 3 seasons than Alvin Harper did in his entire career. He already has more TDs. Wallace' rookie year is better than any season Alvin ever had.

You have a point but went a little overboard. He's good ... he's just not anywhere near Fitz/calvin. And we can all agree Desean was overpaid.

Mike Wallace asking for more money than Fitz got paid makes about as much sense as the OP comparing Wallace to Alvin Harper.

A 7 yard slant? What, kind of like this?Mike Wallace 53 yard touchdown

Not saying he's worth Fitz money, but the guy is pretty good.

Alvin never had speed like Wallace.

He benefitted from being an option in single or open coverage based on 3 options that were better than him.

Teams with the steelers of recent vintage(re: passing) have keyed on him and he's still had success

Not saying he's better than fitz, but he certainly has an argument albeit a flimsy one. Through their first 3 years he has more yards and the same amount of tds as fitz did. He could certainly point to that and say "I deserve more money than vjax" in hopes of landing somewhere in the middle of vjax-fitz contract.

T-Dummy, that is super interesting. I scout with my eyes. They rarely fail me. We shall see.
Then your eyes must be failing you. I've seen more then enough instances this year and the year prior in the playoffs where he's making big plays and running all the routes. He's going into only his fourth season and the guy is known as a gym rat that's always working on his game. Defenses were playing to make Brown beat them and it makes sense to see his numbers be a bit more inconsistent. Sure he made some mistakes, but so does Megatron. Another issue is that a lot of the routes they were having Wallace run took too long to develop for how bad that o-line was playing in pass protection. Teams were sending the house at Big Ben. Throw in Big Ben's injuries and it's a situation as unique as a snowflake. At the end of the day the guy had 72 rec. for 1193yds and 8TDs. That's pretty much Nicks' stats and I'd put them on about the same level. Does he deserve better than Fitz money? I don't think so, but his stats and age alone should command a very big payday. From everything that I've heard he's been a model teammate and player.
