Take a guess - he's bitter, angry, probably a child of divorce, his video game system was Atari (NES if he was lucky) and didn't have the internet growing up so had to jerk off to National Geographic or the JC Penney's catalog. On top of that during his teenage everything in the media was all about how awesome and rad life is but in reality it sucked (see previous sentence).

That was one of the few generations that left things better for the next one. That is how you judge a generation. The millenials generation hasnt finished yet to determine how they affect the next.
If they are judged poorly its probably still because of the mess the boomers and gen-x left. You cant fix that pile of garbage in one generation.

They created the sell out culture we are still suffering through. They gave up on the revolution the boomers were trying to start (granted a lot of the boomers sold out later during the gen x period too).What mess has Gen X left? Please expound, this should be great.
Now we have a jaded society that is soulless and worships materialism.
There is some hope the tail end of the millenials and the next gen may get that revolutionary spirit back, we have seen flashes of it.
This long period of social apathy will turn to anger and a desire for change. If they arent as peaceful about it as the 60's then something might get done.

Gen X will have to straighten all this stuff out, because we had influences from the Greatest generation. Millennials have no idea what they want, and although creative, they don't care for any kind of structure and they have to be told how great they are 24/7. I have no idea what you mean by "sell out culture," I doubt you do either. You are children of the most fortunate generation ever, the inventors of diabetes and indifference. My description.is what I see around me.
In the recent generations I am not counting tje squishy brained and soft bodied zombies poisoned by chemicals and laziness, they have no impact on the world, im talking about the mentally sharp and what they are trying to clean up.

There's a reason why Gen X is doing well financially - we skipped right over the principles BS and went right for the money. Growing up in the 80's, Woodstock was barely in the past yet the whole baby boomer generation had completely forgotten what it believed in and become consumption obsessed while voting for a President who said ""People who are sleeping on the grates, the homeless . . . are homeless, you might say, by choice.”"

Millenials are innovators. Just like every generation we have a lot of people like MCGH, but there are also a ton of smart people changing how things are done and creating new technologies. You go into any tech company office and you'll find a bunch of hard-working and bright Millenials.
Yes there are a lot of self-entitled whiny #####es in my generation (whom I dislike as much as anyone else), but they are also a product of the environment they were raised, so this responsibility needs to be shared.

As a Gen-Xer, I also agree with what some people have written about my generation too. The boomers ####ed a lot of stuff up. Chasing materialism and other self-interest. Us Gen-Xers grew up with our parents' materialism and selfishness in broken homes, while contrasting that to the markedly different lives we witnessed in our grandparents. It made us cynical, sharp-witted, smarmy ###holes in a lot of ways. But for many of us, it also taught us to get our balance sheets in order, so we had time/flexibility to make a positive difference in the world.
The Millenials I know? They want to make their positive difference, but they seem to not give a #### about getting their balance sheet in order. Mom and Dad are just supposed to buy those computers, those cell phone plans, et al. They cannot be burdened with a job, because a job keeps "me" from making a difference in people's lives. You know...laughing at my selfies and reading whatever happens to run through my brain 18-hours/day.

If only they (yet) had the wisdom to harness that power and do what needs to be done to make a King Kong-sized positive dent on the planet.
