Minnesota at NY Giants (1 Viewer)

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a worse game by a QB. New offense/team-mates/playbook or not. Almost every pass is uncatchable, way off target. And for all the talk of pressure...he really hasn't been under THAT much duress. WHy bother blitzing a QB who can't hit a WIDE OPEN WR, let alone one with a defender within 4 yards?
I've seen rookies play worse, but it's not easy to recall a worse performance by a fifth-year veteran
Jason Campbell, when he took over for Cutler, looked worse than this. Probably cost Campbell millions in a Matt Flynn type deal in his FA year

I guess you missed the Tim Tebow performance against the Chiefs a couple of seasons ago

I wonder how hard it is for Frazier to stand there looking like the game is interesting and he's focused on every play.

Wow...I came into this game up by 12 points...my team was done, he still had Peterson and Rudolph left. This game decided who is in first place. I'm crying, thought for sure I was done.

Fantasy football is a sickness. Watched this entire miserable game just to see if Cruz would score more than 8.2 points in my league to beat me. I don't think I would have watched even a minute of this game if I didn't have a vested interest. After watching the whole thing, I kinda would rather have had a loss and gone to bed without that torture of a game than stay up and eek out a win.

Tebow of course. I guess I thought of him as a perpetual rookie.

This is a game thread that actually might have been improved if everyone had just posted their line-ups and rosters and talked about their teams.

Can't wait to hear Dilfer break down this game.
:lmao:

Worth the price of admission. He's fired up.
Rick Reilly had one heck of a rant as well on the live Sport Center spot.

His humorous analogies rambled on a bit, but he made some interesting points about the current state of the NFL game. Reilly says that decreased practice time, mass free agency, and "softening" of the game have all combined to produce a product like we saw tonight on MNF. Reilly says the league is being powered by fantasy football now... nobody else is watching these games.

He might be right.

Mr. Freeman, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent performance were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational play. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having watched it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

As a Bucs fan I feel the need to say "told you so" but as an advocate to dump schiano I am hoping no TB Brass watched that game.

Glennon at least looks good... Better than any Freeman performance.

I couldn't handle watching this any more so went to bed at half time..

and, it wasn't even that difficult of a decision as right now sleep >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> then this mess

:kicksrock:

I agree that was the worst football game I've seen in the past 15 years. Really felt like the 4th preseason game.

The highest fantasy player I believe was a guy sitting on his couch last week I believe in Hillis. I really can't recall a RB who looked slower than he did. I was forced to start the guy and was embarrassed that I actually got the points. Bears repeating, I'd hate to see how the other guys at the workout (Torain/DJ Ware) looked for them to pick up Hillis. (I realize it was probably much for protection reasons but both Torain/Ware spent substantial time in NY)

Freeman looked like a guy that hadn't picked up a football in a month. Hillis looked like one that hadn't worked out in 2.

------------------------------------

And sadly for David Wilson owners, Hillis's Week 7 performance was a mere 1 point less than Wilson's season total. (And Jacobs surpassed Wilson's season total in his 1 start) 2 guys off the street.....

I missed the game last night, but watching the highlights, I especially enjoyed the 86-yard punt return for a TD by the Vikings' Marcus Sherels. Generally, a returner would not wait for a blocker to take on the punter, but seeing the effort by Giants' Punter, Weatherford, I see why Sherels hesitated. Weatherford nearly ran down Sherels in those final yards, nearly preventing the score. Nice effort by the punter, even if he did finish with a horse-collar tackle.

I thought so too. Someone on the radio this morning called the tackle attempt a bush league play. I was thinking, come on, he's a punter!
