Missing Cleveland teens found Alive 10 years after being abducted! (1 Viewer)

I tend to be a law and order type of guy, let our system of justice play itself out, yadda yadda yadda, but I can't think of a punishment horrific enough for those three perps.
I think spending the rest of their lives in prison seems pretty horrific.
Even having heard what many inmates do to pedophiles and kidnappers, there are far more appropriate punishments that could be concocted for them. Unfortunately, many of the ones I have thought of violate the "cruel and unusual punishment" amendment (its number escapes me at the moment.

Turns out Charles is a convicted wife beater.... goodbye fame and fortune.

It was ten years ago.
in my mind there is not a statute of limitations on thinking a repeat domestic offender is not someone i want glorified. I am very glad he has done well sense them and I am VERY glad he helped do the right thing here, but I have trouble holding him up as a hero now

maybe that is unfair, but that's a crime i tend to hold grudges on

BTW I personally believe in rehabilitation. So given the ten year span with no further issues it's hard not to say maybe the guy has earned the right to live it down. Of course you knew people were digging. We love nothing more than tearing down people and now it can happen as fast as the buildup.

I think he should be held up for getting involved here because more people need to. I am sure it doesn't erase the pain he caused but maybe he learned something and has changed a bit and maybe we could let him have that.

He should be praised for sure, but i am less enthusiastic about him

Sorry, just how i feel

Let's make sure we air all his dirty laundry and tear him down. Maybe even have him arrested for something. That way we can make sure people just mind their business, instead of helping people, for fear of the media consequences.

Join the club, we've got jackets. At least we did, there's a huge back order now.
Good thing y'all aren't in charge...Per the press conference just held, the two brothers were not involved and not charged. The other guy (forget his name - it was on TV) is charged with 4 counts of kidnapping and 3 counts of rape.

Were the two brothers living in the same house? If so, how could they not be involved? They're going to have to explain that one to more inquiring minds than just mine. For that matter, 3 counts of rape... once per girl? Maybe they have to draw the line at just one otherwise they would have to prove he did it hundreds of times, right?

So this ####er gets one of the girls pregant 5 times and punches her in the stomach until she miscarries? There's a special place in hell for this lowlife. Only hope the guards turn a blind eye and let the general population at him. Though for sure he will be in protective. Sickening.

I don't think any of those details have been verified yet.

Sorry, they live there and know what is happening and do nothing to stop it? They get exactly the same as him.

Do they live there? Any comments by neighbors only mention the one guy living there. They did say in the press conference that they are now looking at another house, I think in the same neighborhood.

The Ramsey tear down is a boringly predictable part of any person that gets thrust into a major news story.

And I'm uninterested.

I haven't followed chapter and verse but the guy served his debt to society and I'd say there is a chance that he closed a loop of karma in playing a part in rescuing this woman.

I don't know him or what kind I man he is, but rescuing this girl and to this point declining a reward for the reasons he is (to give it to these women) says something of him and not the whole story.

But Ramsey is all right with me

Really lame and really tiring to see this play out. Because you can't tell me there has never Been a domestic incident involving someone in the newsroom that got this "scoop"

:goodposting:I haven't seen Charles try yo be anything but humble in this situation. If that's informed by his past troubles, so be it but it is not germaine to this situation.-QG

Local radio station had an ex prosecutor or an attorney (didn't catch his credentials) and he said those are only initial charges. Expect many, many additional charges add the investigation continues.

Seems like the other two brothers had no involvement in this, as per the press conference.
wow im reading this now
This would seem to conflict with some of the stories neighbors have claimed where they said 3 men had 3 women on leashes in the back yard. Of course it's possible neighbors made those stories up to get attention (since 3 people had been arrested and these folks knew that when telling the stories). I hope if he's thr only one that was charged he's the only guilty one.-QG

This would be the case in my jurisdiction too. They just need initial charges to hold him, then will consider all potential charges for presentation to a grand jury.

Besides being from the area, this hits home for our family. In my sig is a website set up for a missing friend of the family Just Gaines. My wife actually babysat him for his mother when he was little. They used to work together. His mother has been in our living room before talking about the searching, never giving up, the heartache. I can honestly tell you that seeing the pain in a parent's heart who has a missing kid is pretty hard to experience.

Above all the horrifying details of this recent Cleveland case, at least the families have their loved ones back. While we may never answer all the "whys" and "hows" in this case, it is way better than the countless other families out there that will spend the rest of their lives never knowing what happened.
Sad. :(

what tear down?
the stories about him being a wife beater

Do any of you actually know Ramsey's ex-wife? No? Then pipe down.
You mean like, maybe she deserved it?
Yes.
Wow...you believe a woman deserved a beating from her husband/bf? I had some form of respect even with the snide put downs but holy #### dude, what a POS comment to post. Good luck going forward in here...
I agree with Malloy. We don't know anything about the woman. To assume that she was undeserving is speculative at best.
