I had surgery back in October, first thing in the morning so I was one of the first out of surgery.  I started coming-to in the recovery room, looked over in my haze and there's a dude on the bed next to me too with like 7 different nurses scattered around the room.  Whatever.  I'm groggy, sitting there, nurses checking on me, and dude next to me starts like freaking out and trying to break out of his bed.  They pull the curtain closed so I can't see him but he's flipping out, screaming, they're trying to hold him down and whatnot.

A handful of nurses convene, must have been the in-charge ones, and the one goes "get him out of here <pointing at me>".  Nurse comes over to me and says "normally we would keep you in this post-anesthesia room for another half hour, but we need to get you out of here immediately because we need all hands on deck for him", and they wheel me out of there.  He kept shrieking and screaming, they had to call his surgeon into the room to try to calm him down and ####.  It was terrifying.

At least that's what I think happened.  Never can tell after the anesthesia.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:  So, I assumed this was the other Calvin Harris and Rihanna song and had fully typed out, "What are your thoughts on "This is What You Came For"... I actually really really like this song, even if I do know it mostly from hockey arenas.

Yeah, I did a super :nerd: one that was Alphabet/One Word titles.  You could draft in any order, but your mix had to be in alphabetical order.

Totally missed this being drafted at the time. The Offspring are definitely a huge part of my preteen years. Played the #### out of Smash and took it last draft. This album isn't quite up to those "standards" but I to this day love "The Kids Aren't Alright" and this one...

My throat hurts a bit, full disclosure.  I'm also regretting those Doritos I sampled earlier.

Three weeks till the biopsy results are back, but doc said everything looked great.  Even my Barrets may be going or gone.  I forget exactly, was pretty high.

I want to make my morning pick now.  Nobody probably knows it and I want to share.

I wouldn't change your pick, more of just an FYI for the spotify mix. Taylor Swift isn't on Spotify but that wouldn't stop me from taking I Knew You Were Trouble if there were a parenthetical (when you walked in).

I'm hosting a St. Patrick's party tomorrow night, so if I post in here it will be very late and completely incoherent.

I bought 5 albums today (used) for the occasion to show off my new turntable setup:

  • The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy & the Lash (I actually know this one)
  • The Chieftans - 7
  • The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem - Irish Drinking Songs
  • K-Tel Presents The Irish Rovers Special - 20 of their Greatest Hits
  • The Dubliners - More of the Hard Stuff
I spent like $60. I have no idea why my wife puts up with me :oldunsure:

One more thing I just thought of.  I knew the pretty divorced nurse who assisted the Dr. on my procedure.   It's gonna be slightly awkward  (or not?) when I see her at the field with her kid and ask her what hand she had up my #$&.  ?

One of my soccer moms has a yearly party. It's usually pretty sloppy and is indoor and out.  This year we will be inside with the snow.

   I missed the last party so she's VERY exited I'm coming.  It's pretty funny how she openly flirts with me in front of both her husband and my wife.  

Anyway she got a keg of Guinness and has corned beef paninni's so I'm set.  I will also be drunk posting here tomorrow night if my wife lets me in the door (she will leave early I bet).

The last couple parties we've hosted at my house, my wife has gone to bed earlier than me (like 12 or 1) and then I've proceeded to keep drinking and pass out and she's had to get back up and see people out. Last time was at our Christmas party and I have photos and texts proving I was awake and functioning at 3:30 AM... but people couldn't get cabs and parties rage on and I eventually fell victim to a pass out and she saw everyone out. I feel like I deserve a pass for making it to 3:30 while drinking heavily all night.

In any case, tomorrow I'm drinking a local equivalent of Guinness and assuming the lower alcohol, smaller can, will mean I'm fine... plus, I'm sure it won't go past 3 AM again  :unsure:
