Take me off the list. Not gonna be able to participate in this one. Sorry.
Thanks all. She was admitted to ICU with a narrowing of her main leg artery---had to have a Roto-Rooter job and a stent placed.:(
Hope everthing is ok, Marco .

Well, ####.I'm with Tasker. Had to make an executive decision last night. Just not able to wrap my head around it, and swamped with stuff. Plus, I'm too busy starting jail tat threads to participate.
I assumed that people might want to not say what themes were, but I am fine either way.Clean up the draft order, and I will set up the spreadsheet tomorrow.
Am I correct assuming we want to keep track of the 'subject' of the song?

My subject will be slowly revealed (realistically by about my third pick).I was thinking we'd want to know such and such song was for French Class. Was a theme how we were determining what class each song matched?I assumed that people might want to not say what themes were, but I am fine either way.Clean up the draft order, and I will set up the spreadsheet tomorrow.

You are correct, but my thinking was:I was thinking we'd want to know such and such song was for French Class. Was a theme how we were determining what class each song matched?
Ditto, Garden Stater here as well, but 1/2 between Philly and NYC. 8A.I know it's often the butt of jokes, but I love where I live. It's actually a very diverse state: beaches, farmland, forests, mountains, wealth, cool cities, small towns.... I've surely been to better places, but I'm content.
ETA: Plus I'm a 40 minute drive to NYC, which is nice.
Not a big deal keeping track of subjects. In other drafts we draft by category! You are correct, but my thinking was:I was thinking we'd want to know such and such song was for French Class. Was a theme how we were determining what class each song matched?
1. in the past we have had a little fun guessing WTF people were doing. If somebody was drafting songs based on titles, the theme will probably be obvious anyway, but if we are going on lyrics it might be a little harder to figure out.
2. I didn't want to put extra work on you having to keep track of 'subjects'
3. People might be taking songs that could fit in different categories, and declaring when we draft means there is less flexibility. If we allow swaps, again, more work for you.
Like Nothern Voice said, mine won't be a secret after about round 2-3 so it doesn't matter a ton to me. I just wanted to have max flexibility for drafters and minimum work for you and the spreadsheet.
It's up to you and the majority. Not a big deal keeping track of subjects. In other drafts we draft by category!
Oh, come on!!! This draft is taking so long!!!Sorry gang, it's been a crazy day and I still need to make up my mind which direction I'm going to go. I'll make my pick tomorrow.
I might too since it will be known in a round or two anyway.I am just going to say what my theme is. I have nothing to hide.
Love this idea.My theme is just the graduation requirements/schedule of classes that a typical student at my high school would go through.
3 math classes
3 science classes
4 social studies classes
4 English classes
Art
Gym
Health
3 electives
Depending on how things go, I may be more specific with the classes- eg. instead of science, actually break into biology, physics and chem to match the actual classes they take.
Agreed.Love this idea.![]()
Pretty tempted to invite one of myaliasesfriends on the site to join this one and doa secondhis own school themed mix.
Mine is similar, have it broken down into 4 quarters of 5 classes.Love this idea.My theme is just the graduation requirements/schedule of classes that a typical student at my high school would go through.

Nice. I thought about doing this as well - think of specific classes that I had in college and doing a mix on that.Mine is similar but specific to me. I had a major and three minors, along with 4 years of grad school so I'll be using those subjects.
Looks great. As always, thanks for putting that together!@KarmaPolice - Here is the beginnings of the spread sheet. I will add the other pages of the sheet as we move on with the draft.
Let me know if there are any adjustments!

I went ahead an set up some extra sheets. If I overstepped, just delete them. But like I said, I was bored@KarmaPolice - Here is the beginnings of the spread sheet. I will add the other pages of the sheet as we move on with the draft.

I am on Spring Break, have no kids, wife is working all week...I have nothing but free timeGeez, some of you put way more thought into this than me. And it will probably show

I meant like 30 minutes before heading off to an interview. Not 8 hours to pontificate on my secondary education and what it would take for me to graduate.
NICE!I went ahead an set up some extra sheets. If I overstepped, just delete them. But like I said, I was bored@KarmaPolice - Here is the beginnings of the spread sheet. I will add the other pages of the sheet as we move on with the draft.

I have to run. It is odd. Never happened before. I added an a to the song column. Works for now. Ill look laterNICE!
The 'Songs by Alpha' sheet is counting the title row as one of the 'songs,' so a test song I put in named "b" went in on first row. Easy fix?
Theme development is easy.Geez, some of you put way more thought into this than me. And it will probably show
Well that was quick! No surprise that this didn't last long.1-3. Could go a bunch of ways here but this has high snipe potential. I'll add link when I'm not using phone.
Van Halen- Hot for Teacher
She's adjusting to her new surroundings in rehab. She's still a little confused from her ICU stay and surgery so she's a bit combative with staff and isn't the most compliant patient with regard to walking without assistance so that's been a bit stressful. I'm worried she's going to fall down and end up back in the hospital---I feel compelled to sit at her bed/chair side constantly to prevent that, which is becoming very tiresome after 5 straight days. How's your mom doing today?
