**Monday Night Football - Eagles 8-4 at Chargers 8-4**(+2, 42) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

When was the last time both teams that made the super bowl completely imploded the next season?
imploded? They're still 8-4 and in a good position to win a road game against another 8 win team here now.

Bizarre how far down many folks are on the Birds right now. I realize they haven't looked great, but come on now.

ETA: MANY of us predicted KC falling off a cliff this year. Not surprised at all by what they've done

Spot on. And to answer Gachi’s question, it was Denver vs Atlanta. The following season Denver was 6-10 and Atlanta was 5-11.

Not this one. Philly is almost a lock to win the NFC East.

Probably 2016, when Denver and Carolina both missed the playoffs after their Super Bowl matchup. 2003 Bucs and Raiders both missed the playoffs. 1999 Broncos and Falcons, but in Denver's defense, Elway retired, and Davis and Sharpe missed almost the entire season.

ETA: 2003 Raiders are the benchmark for biggest implosion. Went from losing in the Super Bowl to picking #2 in the draft...and then taking Robert Gallery over Fitzgerald and Rivers.

And that was only due to Elway retiring

To be fair the Chiefs shouldn’t be surprising. KC played a similiar route as the Eagles 23 season just had better luck. Now they’ve imploded.

Eagles realistically should have a step back after loosing their OC plus others. However the offense shouldn’t be this inept.

KC has had an absolute brutal schedule. They are + 63 point differential and somehow 6-7. I wouldn’t exactly call that an implosion either.

Mahomes recievers also lead the league or top 3 in drops too

Eagles schedule every bit as brutal too

I wasn’t contesting that. Neither team imploded. That’s my point.

Sirianni preaches on doing the little things that don’t require talent well. Well this year they’ve sucked at that from penalties to not getting out of the huddle to protecting the ball now.

Defense keeping us in this. Can Jalen and company answer the call? No. No they can’t.
other then the uncharacteristic picks, they've looked ok this game. They absolutely can get back in this, it's a SEVEN point game FFS

too much negativity with our eagles fans right now
