Monday night game thread (1 Viewer)

If the lions can't beat this team at home next week, i may quit them for good. as bad as the Lions can look, they never even looked this bad last year. This is a new kind of ineptness. I expect Calvin and Ksmith to have good weeks next sunday...especially Calvin/Stafford. Browns are just what they need to get healthy and keep improving their chemistry.

Quinn is another overrated pretty boy who got in the NFL on style instead of substance. What a ########, he's far worse than DA.

Lions D may be a good play next week... that felt weird to type.

Don't count on it. This Browns D has held one of the better offenses to one TD...and the Lions are not a good offense. Expect another crapfest.

You realize the Browns Defense has only given up one TD tonight?

:goodposting: I'm rolling with Kevin Smith ***no one cares*** next week as well (Rice is my new #1 with the Burner out).But...they looked pretty listless in the Metrodome. Man, that was def a mail-it-in effort. I thought for sure we could beat the Rams, but S-Jax put them on his back. The Browns have basically NO playmakers from what I can see.

Lol at the awkward argument between Jaws and Gruden on the Belichick 4th down argument. Jaws is PISSED!
can't watch, what did each say?
Jaws said he wouldve punted, Gruden said (paraphrasing) "Come on, he's Bill Belichick, GIMME A BREAK!" Shoots Jaws a look. Jaws taken aback. Awkward three second pause followed by uncomfortable laughter by all, Jaws silently seething through the chuckles. They go to commercial, come back and Jaws won't drop it. Funny stuff

If the game ends like this, in their last 15 games, the Browns have:

0 rushing TDs by RB

0 receiving TDs by WRs

Does the play where Quinn fumbled, then was tackled count as a sack? NFL.com has it that way, but just looking for another opinion. If it's a sack, guy I needed to lose just won his game by less than a point.

That is absolutely amazing. :thumbup:You would think there would be one drive, one big play, one missed tackle, one something in 15 hours of game time.

Holy cow...the Browns have FIVE offensive TDs in the last FIFTEEN games. holy crap. that's really hard to fathom.

have you ever seen Jaws agree with anyone? i think he just likes to argue. Gruden brought much needed life to that booth.

Someone explain to me why Man-genius won't give Ratliff a shot?
Given the Browns talent level, maybe he's the only QB Mangini actually likes? With the piss poor protection and skill players, few QBs could do much in Cleveland.Maybe trade for Vick and let him try not to get killed back there next year?

Those last two deep balls, where Quinn can't even hit the field despite no pressure on him, man, that could make more than a few people decide they need to take another QB in the first round.

Maybe he wants out of town? :X I'm sure somebody would give him another shot.

Seriously. You put 90% of the FFA in that spot and maybe some only throw the ball 15 yards, but it'll be on the playing field. That was mind-numbingly bad.T-W-I-C-E!

Why were the Browns trying all the laterals on the last play of the game down 16-0? Good job of getting your only decent offensive player hurt on a play that meant nothing.

Cribbs got hit on that last play, was down on the field, taken off on a stretcher and straight to the hospital. God, I didn't think the hit was that bad. T&P's.

I think a lot of it is the coaching. Not to mention Mangini wrecked the right side of the side with terrible free agent moves. If the Browns had just an average RT and RG, the OL would really be the core of this franchise. The quickest path to fixing the offense is to find a RT and RG, then either an average RB or a good deep threat.

Holy crap. That's a huge hit to his owners in return leagues, and terrible to the Browns. If he's actually hurt Mangini should be shot.

Does anyone actually have any Browns on a roster? They are actually a nonentity in FF. Except to play whatever defense is going against them.

I have MM, but only because I made a mistake and used all my BB $$$ already (totally forgot that FA's still cost $1 :lmao: )

Gotta say though Jaws might be schtick, met him at a golf tourney and really really nice guy, signed stuff for people and was joking with people. He does have a little :look at me: that may carry to the booth but was nice.

This may be the worst Baltimore defense of the Ray Lewis era and the Brownies still looked helpless against it. They look like a rebuilding project years in the making.

On the other side, the Cleveland D played pretty well, good enough that it was a worrisome game to Ratbird fans. The early mistakes, poor pass protection and inability to sustain any drives bodes poorly for upcoming games against the Colts, Steelers and Packers. Right now, they don't look like a playoff team, though their wins over Denver and San Diego may be factors if they can just hang in there down the stretch.

No one should have a Brown or Raider on their team. The NFL only has 30 teams this year....and that is being generous.
