NFFC $350 Entry Contest (1 Viewer)

Our Dan Hindery just dropped a Masterclass for this one.

We're dropping tons of new analytical tools for taking a deeper look at the contest and trends. Dan breaks it down in his article.

The have been fun. Jeff and I live-streamed one of these drafts last offseason and finished with the most points in our division.

I know I'm being biased, but this was the most thorough, informative article on ANY high-stakes contest I've ever read. Dan spent his own $350 not only to compete for the $250,000 grand prize, but to be able to walk everyone through the entire process of joining the NFFC, from signing up, to setting KDS, to finding the draft room to making his picks in the draft room. I mean it was a masterclass indeed for anyone interested in joining our high-stakes contests.

But the real kicker are the tools Dan has created to not only win in the NFFC but in your own home leagues. All five of those tools will inform you of what the high-stakes community is thinking on certain players and they all give you the latest trends and values for upcoming drafts. Dan is a whiz at downloading draft data and putting all of that into an easy-to-read and understand graph. The Stacks graph is also something that nobody has done with NFFC data before and it will be extremely helpful in our national contests. All around this was an A+ article and I look forward to more inside info from Dan and the whole gang at Footballguys. Great job.

You've seen the livestreams we're doing here with the $350 NFFC Contest. https://nfc.shgn.com/footballguys

It's fantastic and I think by far the best contest in the space at that price point.

Be looking for more livestreams each Monday evening this month.
I really believe that livestream drafts are the new content in the fantasy football space and these high-stakes livestreams are extra special because you have 12 owners each putting up $350 of their own money to try and win $1,500 in their league and $250,000 overall. These aren't mock drafts, these are real, live high-stakes drafts with 12 very informed owners. Dave has done a fantastic job with these livestreams and he is getting thousands of people to watch each Monday night. The content is A+. Join Dave and Jeff Bell on Monday's "Beat Dave Kluge" NFFC Online Championship livestream at 8 pm ET and feel free to jump into the league if you believe you can beat Dave for that league and overall prize.

Added bonus -

$100 to anyone here from the Shark Pool who joins this week's livestream and finishes the season ahead of @Dave Kluge and Jeff's team.

You have to let us know here before the draft what team you are.

I entered three of these leagues last year, and two best ball leagues. I won one of the three $350 leagues and I won one of the two best ball leagues.

And all of my teams were a MASH unit by the postseason contest, but I definitely profited from the year. They’re great contests— super well run, and the administrators are highly responsive.

Highly recommend getting into these if you haven’t yet.

Also @Greg Ambrosius posting here is too modest to say, but he's the main man at NFFC. He's a Fantasy Sports Hall Of Famer and one of my longest running and closest friendships in this industry. He's awesome and they have an awesome team including @fbghomeleagues here.

I love it that he's so engaged he wants to be here on our forums.

He’s fantastic. I had an issue with one of my payments that processed wonky, and he was absolutely Johnny on the spot to take care of it. Unbelievable customer service.

Thanks for the kind words Hot Sauce. If you don't have first rate customer service in high-stakes NOBODY will spend their hard-earned money with you. When folks are spending three figures, four figures and even five figures per contest you better be there as a game operator to help them. Everyone has my cell phone number and email address in the NFFC and if you have a problem or an issue or even a compliment (!!) I'll personally address them. Thanks and good luck in all your leagues this year.

Thanks again - and yeah, I’ll add to this that the in-draft support by commishes is above and beyond. I had a glitch where I clicked a player, the timer froze, and next thing I knew 2 dudes I didn’t want were picked (I was picking from the turn)

Called the live mod - paused the draft - backed out the picks, perfect.

That was a level of support I never expected from an online event. Kudos for that for sure. No one wants to chuck $350 in the trash because of a computer hiccup in the 4/5 rounds.

@Joe Bryant
Coulda sent you a PM but this is the real scoop. Both my son and I received the Mags today, I cannot express the thrill that brought tonight as we both thumbed thru it together
He quickly wanted to start using the app and started saying how much he liked it up to the point he needs a login/FBG Sub

Can you link for those that want to buy an FBG subscription for others/family, that would be much appreciated since ultimately I want to enter the NFFC with him,
Thanks! (y)

Now he's flipping out, says the "App/Site" is just bananas/phenomenal...we're synching up Sleeper with it
We're both part of an auction dynasty superflex in 2 weeks, my first time ever

Interesting. At first glance, very similar to the FFPC contest with the same entry fee. But, after reading through all of the details, there are some key differences....

- The third round draft order reversal in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby format of draft position selection is very intriguing.
- No weighted PPR towards TE like FFPC. I've done so many of those drafts for $5/$10/$35 that I've almost forgotten what it's like to draft with standard TE PPR.
- One more required WR (3) in lineups, and just one flex (versus 2/2 at FFPC).
- TMPK which I really like. Don't have to guess who's going to win what kicking job and/or worry about stupid kicker injuries, etc.
- Slightly different scoring for passing yards, as mentioned in the article.

The other thing that caught my eye is that all of the drafts seem to be one-minute timers. So, unless I'm missing something, no slow draft option like FFPC has. I'm sure there are others, in terms of the schedule, size of contest, payouts, etc. But those above are some key differences just at first glance. Pro's and con's to all of the above, obviously. As I've said a million times regarding so many aspects of FF, there typically isn't a right versus wrong way, but rather just a matter of preference. But, for people who do a bunch of different leagues/contests throughout the year, having some variety in terms of format is also nice.

I'll definitely be checking out some YouTube videos tomorrow.
