Most active league (1 Viewer)

One My league I'm in so far this year has recorded 276 trades this year. I was wondering if any other leagues are this active? If so, how many trades have your leagues recorded this year? The other dynasties I had been in were relatively nothing compared to this. post trade logs and such with your active leagues.

Peyton Manning switched hands 4 times in 3 days and ended up on the exact same team at the end. Seems pretty stupid. There are also some very terrible trades in there.

I love leagues like this....if you aint tradin, ur not tryin....at least thats what I say.

I'm in a league that has been going for 9 years, and one guy has never traded and another just twice. You either are scared to trade, or don't know how to trade, if thats the case...I'll go in the middle!

Seems like a silly league..

Bad Newz Kennelz gave up Jackson, Steven STL RB

Hampton Hawgs gave up Year 2012 Round 2 Draft Pick from ####### and Beer

I see it looked like it was reversed but the guy just gave up Starks and a 1st why would Hawgs even make an offer like this.....

we recently had a guy drop out and that was the last trade he made because he already knew he was leaving the league.

some guys are just trade happy
 There's not a lot of trading in my league, but there are a few guys who like to throw offers everywhere. I'm quite the opposite. 1 trade a year, usually around our rookie draft. I'd rather build through solid drafting and shrewd WW pick-ups.

I will trade if it improves my team, but that's it. It's fantasy football and the aim is to win the trophy; it isn't fantasy trading and there are no prizes for most trades. I typically pull off one or two trades a year. I would guess there are maybe 30 trades a year in my league. I like my players--that's why I drafted them. So unless I am rebuilding, or have had injuries, or have a position of weakness I need to address, I tend to wait for someone else to blow me away. It doesn't happen too often in my league because everyone is pretty sharp.

Part of it depends on the type of league. In a league where the draft is held in September/August 150+ trades is ridiculous. In a league with rules structured for all year participation it's not that unusual. The number of teams, starters per week, and sizes of rosters play a role as well. To look at one of those three things: in a smaller roster league fewer trades will go down because owners can pick-up decent caliber players but in higher roster leagues making smaller deals makes a lot of sense.

I don't think that the "high-volume" traders really understand this enough. I put the time into researching these people, and unless something really unforseen happens (like I lose two starting RBs in the same week), I am pretty happy to standpat and just tweak my roster from time-to-time with trades (always working the WW).I can pretty much tell you I am similar to Az prof...usually just make a couple of trades and I always find they tilt the balance. For example, I made one trade in a redraft PPR (Randy Moss and Jacobs for Roddy White) and I won the league because of it. In my keep three .5ppr where we have limits on how long we can keep players, I felt the pressure to ADP and did so for MJD, a week before his knee hurt in the preseason (I had the best team the regular season, the guy who got ADP, won in the end). Not saying this always happens where it is what kills me or puts me over the top, but for all you do in the offseason and preseason as far as hours put in, you better be damn sure you are getting a good deal.
