Mr. Gray's USOS (1 Viewer)

Mr. Gray's USOS is one of the great tools Footballguys offers, but I have a question when comparing the SOS for the Cardinal's QBs vs their WRs.

The QBs are ranked #1 (easiest), while the WRs are #14. It seems to be a large disparity considering the WRs will receive a high percentage of the YDs/TDs that the QBS will be throwing.

Any insight into this would be appreciated.

Just off the top of my head, this could happen if the specific teams Arizona plays in 2006 gave up more TDs to RBs and TEs and/or several rushing TDs by the QB. It wouldn't take more than a handful of TDs shifting from WR to RB/TE to cause a significant difference between QB points allowed per game to WR PA pg.

Yup, your right.I originally got the numbers from Mr. Herman's "Big Picture" (excellent look at what is going on in the league). I dug deeper into the USOS tables and was amazed at how little difference there is between the best and worst SOS's at QB and WR (around 12% and 15% respectively and only a 3% difference for the middle 15 teams (WR)).Thanks for the help.

 You're very much welcome. That's what the Shark Pool is all about -- mostly. Oh, and welcome to FBGs!
