Mushy Muhammed (1 Viewer)

Wasn't too long ago that Mushy was the #1 WR in FF. With the new high flying Bear offense, his numbers have definitely been on the upswing. He is currently the #25 ranked WR and moving up in my league.

Anyone think that he has a chance to returrn to glory and crack the top 10 this year?

Mushy owners - what are you using him as? Is he in your starting lineup?

He was drafted as a #4 WR in 14 team league (auction draft - $8/$500) - looking at cracking my starting lineup soon. That's good value - can he keep it up?

i snagged muhammad before the season started on the cheap, thinking the bears offense would be much better. good news/bad news: offense is MUCH better than i had ever dreamed, but grossman is spreading the ball around like crazy. i like the targets and yardage so far...if he can just become THE guy in the red zone, he'll be golden.

Wasn't that his forte in Carolina? What were his numbers that monster year?

I got him late in my draft and I think he has a good chance to crack the top 15 before all's said and done. The thing that might hurt him, as crazy as it seems, is that with the Bears getting these big leads they haven't had much use for the passing game after the 3rd quarter. This might be a continuous problem for Moose considering the Bears soft schedule.

I'll put him down for 1,300 and 8 TDs. He'll see more paydirt if Berrian stops scoring from 40 yards out.

1,300 yds and 8 TDs is a very good season and probably in the top 10. I don't see the Bears killing everyone on their schedule - they'll be throwing more in the coming weeks and I see Mushy's value going up even more.

I have him as my #3 WR behind Boldin and Driver in a 12 team dynasty league which requires me to start 3 WR's. I think he will be about top 15 this year.

I drafted him as the 35th WR off the board in my league. He was supposed to be my #3 starter, but he's played like my #2. I don't see any reason he can't put up 80/1100/6TD's if he stays healthy.

Now that he's got a decent QB back there, and he's not the only option in the passing game, it should help him out. They need to get the running game going though. But that defense keeps the offense on the field, and has given them good field position a lot. And this year, they've been able to take advantage of that.

But he's never going to catch 16 TD's again...and probably won't catch that many for the rest of his career. He is 33 you know. :(

Moose and Berrian are Top 10 WRs right now (and Rex is Top 5). (not factoring in they byes)And their schedule is just gonna get easier.
I happen to agree with you - most people (at least in my leagues) do not - still a lack of respect for Moose - few more big weeks should help!

Lack of respect continues as he drops 5 slots in the top 250 to the mid 20's in WR rankings! Hard to believe after such a good showing this week - not sure what it will take for Mushy to get more respect! I guess its buy low while you can!

In redrafts he is definately a buy low now.

He is my WR2 instead of Chambers at this point. Problem is that Grossman is spreading the ball around to everyone so he only has 1 TD. Berrian also appears to be the deep threat with Muhammad being more of the over the middle/possession type receiver. Since his YPC will not be very high, he needs to get a lot of receptions to put up a 100+ yard game. I hope he continues to play well but as the weather gets colder, I see the Bears running the ball more and Muhammad's numbers taking a dip. I think he'll end up in the 30-35 range for WR's when it is all said and done.

Neither Mush or Berrian will be top 10 Fantasy WR's by the end of the season. They are solid, but once the weather starts getting bad big passing numbers will be hard to come by.Bears fans have a little success and they all of a sudden become delusional. When are we gonna start hearing Rex for MVP talk, or has that already started in Chi-Town?

 The weather is going to hold them down? Seriously? Plenty of QBs and receivers do just fine playing in bad-weather cities.

With the exception of Farve most QB's do struggle playing outside late in the year where it is cold.

I'm not saying weather isn't a factor, but almost everyone plays games in bad weather during the season, and I don't think it'll hurt the Bears much more than any other team. It'll affect one or two games, if that. Two of their last four are in domes. I don't think it will have a noticable influence on either guy's stats. I think Grossman himself will be a bigger factor. How is he going to deal with defenses that start game-planning to stop the pass? That'll be a lot more important than the weather.

I have my eye on Muhammad and Berrian. I'd probably have a better chance trading for Muhammad the BB. I really need to unload Chamber and since Muhammad had a poor showing this week, now may be the time.

My guess is he'll hand off 36 times for 157 yards and 2 TDs.

Mohammed's value very low after this weeks game - I would buy. He coulkd end up being one of those frustrating Santana Moss type guys who have big games one week then shut out the next - but for what it would take to get him (not a lot) - I would still buy.

He dropped a couple passes yesterday that he should have caught. And he sat the fourth quarter with a comfortable lead. Bad day for Moose, statwise. But I don't think it should change his value very much.

why would mushys value be lower this week? I doubt anyone is in panic sell mode on him.

Really the concern is that Chicago is just blowing people out and dont need to throw.
