Okay, I think odds are really good that Jessie's Girl is going to be on this list.
Nope. Wanted to but he’s got at least one other hit record that I’m familiar with.Okay, I think odds are really good that Jessie's Girl is going to be on this list.
I don't know what I'd do without you Tim. Don't know where I'd be.Up next: these guys from Kentucky were a one hit wonder only as a rock band. When they switched to country music a few years later they had a number of big hits but only on the country charts. But most people, including me, only know them for their no#1 hit on the pop charts- (Actually most people don’t know them at all, though they’ll recognize the song when they hear it.)
So the question with every artist is.... "what is Tim familiar with?"Nope. Wanted to but he’s got at least one other hit record that I’m familiar with.
I prefer Fields of Fire, but that’s just me.70. “In a Big Country”- Big Country (1983)

The hell with you guys. Fills all 3 of my criteria (you only need one): I only know one song by this band, it’s as famous as the band itself, and it’s the only US top 40 hit.
So I guess you’re going to be sad.
The band moe. does a great cover of In A Big Country. One of their most popular songs.Lead singer/guitarist of Big Country killed himself about 20 years ago. Sad. Looks like some of the original members still play together as Big Country from time to time.
Certainly even sadder than Bryant "Big Country" Reeves' NBA career.Lead singer/guitarist of Big Country killed himself about 20 years ago. Sad. Looks like some of the original members still play together as Big Country from time to time.
Oh tim... I could just kiss you.Up next: these guys from Kentucky were a one hit wonder only as a rock band. I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. They were Pete Townshend's backup band on his Empty Glass record.
I wish.Okay, I think odds are really good that Jessie's Girl is going to be on this list.
Looked it up - only bass player Tony Butler indeed played on all of Empty Glass. Most of the rest of the band (sans Stuart Adamson) also backed up Roger Daltrey on his solo album (and tribute to Keith Moon) Under A Raging Moon. They were Pete Townshend's backup band on his Empty Glass record.
Brzezicki played a lot of studio sessions in the early/mid 80's. He played on most of the tracks on The Cult's Love album, except She Sells Sanctuary and 2 others. On UARM, the drummer (Mark Brzezicki) was one of many - along with Roger Taylor, Cozy Powell, Stewart Copeland, Zak Starkey and Carl Palmer - who played the drum solo on the killer title track.
Also, Where The Rose Is Sown, Wonderland, and Look Away.I prefer Fields of Fire, but that’s just me.
Both. Your clues are too easy, but there are about 2(00) dozen folks following this thread who know about the songs/artists than you do.You guys are really good at this- or are my clues too easy?
Nah I like it that they guess them.I'd back off the clues for your upcoming songs if it bothers you that someone's going to guess them.
I sincerely hope not. Rick Springfield had 17 Top 40 songs. Of course, that's the only one that ever gets played these days.Okay, I think odds are really good that Jessie's Girl is going to be on this list.
But whether or not Tim is familiar with the other 16 is all that matters. Given Jessie's Girl is the only one that ever gets played anymore, odds were good that he wasn't. But he already chimed in and said he was.I sincerely hope not. Rick Springfield had 17 Top 40 songs. Of course, that's the only one that ever gets played these days.

I’ve always loved this song. These guys are really good performers too. I love how it’s a pop song and then the disco suddenly emerges. Great stuff. Lots of professionalism here.
Along with someone's phone number.Okay, I think odds are really good that Jessie's Girl is going to be on this list.
Was that number used in your local area code?Along with someone's phone number.
The Beatles!Up next: this band got their big break when one of their songs was covered by the Bangles...
Think I know this one unless you’re going with Simon & Garfunkel.Up next: this band got their big break when one of their songs was covered by the Bangles...

Check out the groovy girls in this old video- so awesome. This is a happy snappy tune, makes me feel good.
Turns out The Association's "Windy" is NOT their only hit. This song reminded me of it -- and there it was on the same page.68. “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)”- Edison Lighthouse (1970)

Big fan of this tune. Love the piano phrase at the back end of the chorus, leading into the “Til the night closes in” lyric.69. “Kiss You All Over”- Exile (1978)
