So if I was 985 calories below my goal yesterday, is that a good or bad thing? :unsure:

 
I like that, if I am going out to eat at a chain restaurant, I can search for the name and plan out my calories before going. I did this last night and kept myself under my daily goal, whereas I would have eaten probably twice as much if I didn't use the app.

 
Don't know if you guys do this... but when adding items on a smart phone, you can take a picture of the barcode symbol, and the product information (calories and servings, etc.) pops right up. Unless it is some local item that can only be found in your area.This makes entering calories so much easier.

I am doing great with this app. I have lost over 20 lbs since January. I do seem to hit a wall right at 155. My goal has always been 150 and I have never honestly reached it. I ran 11 miles this am and weighed 152 after but I am sure that was a bout 4 lbs of water weight.

Off hand I think I am allowed 1330 calories a day which is not much. I do a lot of cardio just so I can drink beer and enjoy a few things. I have certainly given up on unhealthy snacks. I eat a ton of broccoli as it has so few calories.

Yea, on the ADD screen there is a barcode scanner that actually works! Most that I've found are about 50/50 at best, this one is darn 100% :thumbup: Went to Olive Garden last night, little tip from your uncle beer, don't get the chicken & shrimp carbonara, oof! :jawdrop:
 
I'm actually doing Weight Watchers right now, so I'm going by their points system, but this app is an awesome way for me to see the caloric content in what I'm eating - so when I'm at my optimal weight again, I will have a good understanding of what I'm putting into my body.

For instance, on WW, a banana is 0 points, so I can eat 20 of them in one day if I want to. But now that I've downloaded this app and am logging my foods here as well, I see that a medium banana is roughly 90 calories. Just really good for me to be armed with this type of knowledge. :thumbup:

I did really well with weight watchers about 5 years ago. This app is pretty much an easier weight watchers program.

Lol, my calorie intake is 1260 for a day. I typically never hit it but it's useful motivation. For me it's a mental thing to take the foot off the calorie pedal when I see that I only have 400 calories left for dinner & a snack.

Are you a minimalist eater? I know people adopt that lifestyle. Are you planning to keep this level of caloric intake as your permanent lifestyle?

how much did you exercise and eat? Sometimes i do this. but you don't want to do this on a regular basis.
I ate well, felt full, just didn't eat any bad stuff or drink any soda. Lots of veggies. Walked for an hour.Started lifting weights also after I finally got my machine put together.

i got potato skins from TGIFridays the other day, 2030 calories for 1 serving :shock: .

Thanks for the invite but could I get another sent to Madshot. Apparently I have another account from 2 years ago that I have no memory of using. That was before I had a smart phone and don't remember ever signing up...I tried finding the group but found nothing when I typed it in.
