Problem is that the old stuff is slipping too as there has been such a focus on the new. Go to the website team page for Denver and try to do some research on the 3 QB options.
As far as I can tell it is not even possible to do that.  It also sucks that for team news you only get one day of news and you have to click through one day at a time. It seems to me it would make more sense to give the last X news stories for a team then click a MORE button or link to get the next X stories.

Click on "QB" to the left of Brady and it'll list all your QBs and Free Agent QBs together.

We will add opponent data into lineup coach at some point during the season. They'll be a trade tool too.
And then I click Back to go back to Menu. Then click RB.  Back.  Then WR.  Back.   That's a lot of clicking in an IDP league.

Or we could just have another table below it with Bench.

This is a slick option though, so not being critical of it, I do like the ability to see waiver candidates by position. It just doesn't serve the function of looking at lineup options.  Not all leagues have open waivers all weekend.  We have a one-and-done waiver run Wed night so bench is the only option after that.

Upgrading browser to 48 is not a great solution for me.  My version isn't that old.  Who is Keith?  You may have told somebody else to email him, but it was not me.  post his contact info.  Thanks. BTW, V44.02 is only 6 months old
Just a side note, you need to update your browser, as in yesterday.  "Only" 6 months old is ancient in Internet technology and your 6 month old browser is riddled with security flaws and holes.  Everyone *must* keep their web browser version up to date, at least monthly.  Both Firefox and Chrome have settings to let it auto update itself.

The only exception to this is if you work in a corporate environment you may not be allowed to update your browser and IT will update it for you.

Our original UX for this had other options worth considering in the first table. We thought we weren't being transparent enough with how those other options were being selected. Bench below is an interesting idea. We'll look into it. Maybe Bench, then below that even, Top Free Agents? There's a ticket in our system for it.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/2016/16teamreport-den.php?ref=s seems to have plenty of info. But, maybe this serves to show that while we have a ton of info, it's not always the easiest to find and we need to do better at that (that's one of the reasons why we started this new system)

We did a release last night with some more changes.

- full row now highlights when you click on a team

- news defaults to yesterday if none so far today

- last 7 days of articles are now shown; cycles back and forth weekly now not daily

- some Firefox fixes. Firefox, what happened? You used to be a nice browser! Including: titlebar height changing, projectors not showing under filters

- cloud icon no longer shows in the middle of the screen

- active league always saves after syncing

- scoring fixes for mobile chrome on android

- weird rankings issue on personalized rankings screen fixed (goodbye, Chase Daniel)

- it's now clearer that the rankings grid is reloading after you change settings in it or change leagues

It does, but until 12 hours ago there was a broken link for Lynch and no link for Simien. Many similar issues existed on other team pages. Stuff isn't that hard to find, mainly it is annoying to have to call things out multiple times and still have them broken on August 22.

someone let me know about the links that were missing; they're fixed. thanks whoever that was (over email so not sure of the forum username)

This is definitely an area we can get better at. We will be expanding our test library for this new system, so everytime we do a fix any bug that previously occurred is tested along with every possible piece of functionality we can write a test for. We have a lot written already; some current issues with our test software vendor prevented us writing some more. But this is exactly the type of thing the new setup allows us to long term prevent from happening in the first place.

Not overly happy with this rollout, but I'm pretty sure DD explained why they couldn't run the old interface/myFBG in parallel. I also can see how this could have been difficult and limited to test in March, since huge parts of it would require active users in real leagues as well as changing rankings and projections (which are mostly static in the spring).

So, while I think this could have been planned/communicated better, I don't know that the result would have been much smoother. I appreciate the fact that Simon is here constantly updating and responding, and while this is a PIA this year, I'm also confidant that this will return to being the best thing at FBG in short order.

Chase Daniel is still showing up as the QB1 in all my synced leagues.

Edit: It's showing this way in IE11, but when I'm using Safari on my iPhone, he's not there.

Thanks. We're really confident that we can get this tool up and running to the standard you guys need in time for the start of the season. We'll continue to work hard.

I do think retrospectively it would have made more sense to have both fully side by side. There are definitely issues there too - do they both give the same rankings? Are people confused by maintaining two completely separate sets of league profiles?

DD has had issues there too with running both; I must admit I was a little surprised there by some people being upset that the new one didn't do 100% of the old one, despite us leaving the Classic version out there as still available.

We'll continue to do our best here and confident this'll be a great tool. Thanks again for everyone's patience.

Bench below would be a key.  MFL presents this way and it's a very strong tool to evaluate options.  Top Free Agents is also a good idea, maybe top 3 per position.

Which is a good seque to my next issue.  I don't know how the #lineups page sorts your roster, but it's all jumbled up.  It starts off ok with a QB and some RB, then some WR, but then it goes nuts.  A DE, a couple LB, back to RB, K, S, S, RB, LB, S, DE, DE, WR, WR.  Can we get it to just do all position groups together?  The OCD of us  would much appreciate it.  It's tough to validate all your players are present, and I don't see any other page that lists your full roster in a more readable format.

While you're looking at it, maybe have a way to set an Active roster and Taxi roster.  Lots of dynasty leagues use some sort of taxi/rookie/reserve roster.  I realize this would be low priority but it's something that wouldn't be overly complex to code.  Maybe a drop-down on each player that sets which roster to add to?

And holy carp on how often I get script errors:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

I can't even get the #rankings page past this script error now.

Ok thanks, that's useful. The reason in the background for the bizarrity of Chase Daniel is that Bob Henry has him scoring some points but playing 0 games. Regardless, he should show in the same place across browsers and that place should not be QB1.

The urgency is here and now for most of us.  Just because we missed a few days of having them in parallel doesn't mean we don't still need it.  Not by "start of season", not "retrospectively" but "right freaking now".  Today, tomorrow, the next day.  "Start of season" is too late.  And a huge disappointment.  You left the classic DD version, we need the classis MyFBG version.

Srill cannot click on menu pull down screen from the main page from a Chromebook.  Was able to do it from my Android, so this is a surprise to me.  Any idea?

By the way, did I miss a tutorial on this?  There was a promise of instructions on how to use this new system.  Rooting around is fun for about 9 minutes, but at some point I'd like to know exactly where to go to get what I want.

Out of interest: what are the main parts of this that people need in the here and now? Are people using it for drafting or free agent pickups? I just want to make sure we have our priorities in the right order here.

I have bought a chromebook which is arriving shortly (later today) specifically to try to replicate this issue.

We also kept the navigation as super-simple as possible. We're really hoping it's much easier to find things in the new system than it ever was on the old.

The classic version doesn't work either. The power in that thing was color coding your team and free agents on multiple reports and screens for multiple leagues. You guy took that away from us

Team highlighting is fully supported in the new version. You just need to click a team name.

The old system had a page with each day listed.  Under each day it had what was coming out that day.  The list turned into a clickable link when the content was published.  The MYFBG main page had every MYFBG link on it.  What could be easier than that?  What was confusing about that?  I agree it did not look as nice, but it worked well.  I vote for function over form.  This roll out seems to be about aesthetics not content and function.

We'll have to disagree here. I found the previous article list a very difficult list to find what I was looking for. It couldn't be filtered in any way, and took a ton of scrolling. I used to default to ctrl+f which is not a good sign. The old MyFBG link to everything on one screen should be fairly equivalent to the new menu system - everything will be linked to from there. The only exception right now is that Personalized Rankings is more of a "catch all" than it was before and we need to do better there at making it easier to switch between positions/etc. Both were maybe just about workable on desktop if you knew how to use them, but near unusable on mobile.

*edit: to address your last point. This is very much about both aesthetics and content/function. We have so much planned for this new system. The waiver wire stuff that'll be landing next week will be in advance of anything the website has ever supported there.

The other day I couldn't even search for free agents in a rankings page. I have to find my team, click on it, and then see it highlighted?  It's so much easier to see my team blue, free agents yellow and everyone else white for example.

I I used to be able to pull up rankings and do same thing. Haven't seen teams/leagues tied to the rankings page unless I missed that.

Is Dodds or Joe monitoring this at all?  There's tons and tons of feedback and questions for them over the last five pages not being addressed.

so why not create a mobile version and a desktop version like lots of websites do?  You find that blue thing on the top of the news (ext-button-4) intuitive? The old site was a hell of a lot faster too.  Each time you navigate from the news and then go back to it you have to suffer the building process over again.  Why?  I will tell you why it is because you are building content on the fly for each user instead of building the page on the server once (once a minute or whatever) in the background and serving up static html with the lookups in effect predone for everbody.  Instead each user that goes to the news causes data to be pulled from KFFL and NFL.com and the other sources that you use.  If you click on something then go back with the back button (THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK) or navigate back you execute the same pulls again.  You do this for your thousands of users.  Pull the same data over and over and over even thoug it does not change.  It makes no sense and is slow as hell. Prebuild the content, store it on your server,  refresh it frequently, and serve it up without having to go out to the sources each time.

What is going to happen to news if KFFL is down or NFL.com is down?  No news, that is what is going to happen.

Yep it's "pretty simple" but it's also new, so the tutorial should be a big help, thanks for that.

That's assuming you can get  past script errors.  Did you get the highlight to full row?  It's kind of hard to see the single cell highlight, especially given how light a shade you guys use on many of them.

Firefox 48.0, Hankmoody

I started a draft today.  I have a draft next weekend.  Waivers run each week in my dynasty leagues.  So the main parts are "yes".  I am in full FF mode.  And the missing IDP content is a killer, as I rely on waivers to fill in DE and DB especially.

And while we're leaving feedback, all of a sudden from the forum index, all the hover-menus on page-header-menu are now blocked by the blue nav bar (Activity, Browe).  I did just upgrade to FF 48.0 in an attempt to make my.footballguys to work, so perhaps it's related to that.

That's absolutely not what is happening there at all. To look into specific issues you're having there, let me know your browser and browser version.

On mobile vs desktop: because we want to a) guarantee the results are the same across both, and b) not maintain two code bases. This is definitely the most common way websites are designed now (responsive design)

We could certainly auto-highlight your team on first load.

You can see free agents by selecting Availability => Free agents under the settings button.

There shouldn't be any missing IDP content. I don't know what you're referring to there - could you get me some more details? I think you would be best at this point to open a ticket with us at apps@footballguys.com. I need more detail on these but I'm always reluctant to try and do that on the forums as it's so easy to lose track of stuff. Thanks. I need your Footballguys username, the name of a league and how you get a script error to happen; I've never seen these in firefox latest. The shades we are using are actually quite dark - a screenshot of that would be really useful so we can see exactly what you're seeing there. Thanks.

I'm in the app and can't even see where to personalize my rankings in the personalized rankings. Where is the team list?  Free agent list?
Top right menu => Edit Leagues.

Once you've synced your leagues, Free Agent list available by hitting settings => availability => Free agents

Thanks renesauz,

It's definitely been something we've learned from. And we'll continue to keep doing all we can there. More things coming this week hopefully.

This definitely should have been communicated better and that's on me. Full responsibility there. And I agree with you for sure, very appreciative of Simon, Even, Mike, Domenic and crew as they try to help things here. We'll stay on this for you doing all we can to make it the best we can. Thanks for everyone's patience.

News page has 5 stories on it, with 4 pic and one not found yet web page is fetching (and doing it very slowly).  That seems odd

Examples.  These guys aren't on the news page yet pull their pic.  There are over 300 pics pulled for nothing.

There is no availability option under settings.

Why would I go to edit leagues to see free agents?  I want to see free agents in a rankings list and a projections list. Just like the old functionality provided us.

Can we get a fully functioning classic version up and running until the new version has been fully tested with all the functionality implemented. It's draft season and close to in season. This was a valuable tool

Not overly happy with this rollout, but I'm pretty sure DD explained why they couldn't run the old interface/myFBG in parallel.
David didn't say the couldn't run in parrallel, he said they choose not to pay a fee to a service they were using to sync leagues - big difference.

We've got a lot we're working on right now. I don't want to be vague but honestly, I have to be vague right this second as I don't want to promise something I'm not sure we can deliver. I know guys need this right this second so let us keep working here and I should have some more info in the next 48 hours. Thanks. Sorry as I know that's not what you wanted to hear but that's the honest answer.

that makes more sense now! the iphone app is not updated with these latest changes but this is available on my.footballguys.com via mobile safari.
I think that is what is causing some headache for some, or at least myself. When I look at the mobile app, I see different info than when I go through Safari. And see different data when I go through IE11. It's hard to know which information is the most up to date and correct. In the previous version, I never had to worry about that. I'm preparing for drafts coming up over the next week and I don't know which info to trust.

The mobile app is always going to take longer there because we have to get through apple's review processes. I put this in the original release notes post but appreciate that's buried now. For now everyone should be using the website versions only. They should be the same across devices.

Under "your league", in "scoring settings", I am not able to change the position from "category passing" to check the custom scoring on my droid using chrome.  Similar to the done button issue earlier.

The rankings in general just seem way off. In a start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 3 W/R/T, 1K, 1DST PPR league, I'm seeing 13 kickers and D/ST ranked ahead of RB24. I know RBs aren't as highly valued in this league, but it seems way off that every startable defense and kicker would be ranked ahead of RB24.

Edit: Then when I go and look at the MyFBG Classic and use the projections for the same league, I see totally different things. Why would the projections be different?
