NBA BTTF III - Draft Over! War of attrition underway... (1 Viewer)

One of the two main issues with my 2-80 squad was an inability to stop anyone from scoring 150 points each game. (The other issue was an inability to score more than a handful of points ourselves). I'm fairly pleased with my first three picks from an Offensive standpoint but need some defense and rebounding. There are other players with "higher floors" for sure but if I'm going from Worst to First I need to find a diamond (or 10) in the rough.

Nerlens Noel - Shot-blocker - Philly

Danilo Gallinari F

Noah PF/C

Jordan C

Evans G/F

Gallinari F
I was hoping he would fall back to me, I thought he was a little too risky to take in the fourth coming of an ACL injury that he has yet to play with.
He's been 100% for a while, so I feel pretty comfortable with the risk. Marginally more concerned about how he does with Shaw's offensive scheme but he's a pretty versatile player on that end.

Isn't he only 9 months removed from surgery?

Was thinking about taking this guy with my next pick. Probably not a good sign for your team that I've liked your last 2 selections.

Actually, probably not a good sign for your thought process that you are agreeing with the 2-80 guy.

Yeah, but he's been doing full court work since June-July.

That sounds about right.

Gallo pick seems pretty horrible to me.
And you definitely know what a horrible pick looks like, so I tend to agree with you.
Can't tell if this is a shot or not. Long day of meetings...
At least the Hibbert and Hill picks make sense now
Don't like them eh? Seems solid to me.
I had Hill last year but he didn't play much on my team despite having a ton of minutes available. I think he's a decent bounce back candidate but last year was concerning. Of course he won't have to contend with Paul George trying to be a superstar this year, so he's got that going for him.

pump - you should tell everyone here about your deadly hemroids while we wait.
They are gone, but I have to still go to the doc once a month to " dialate" the scar tissue built up by the surgery. I'd paste the original post made , but I have no idea where it is.

Looks like we have our first big lull. Hopefully someone PM'd Coyote.

With that being said, let's...

***ANNOUNCE***

2 hour clock starting in the AM (9/24). 9am-7pm M-F of the poster's local time.

We're setting a very nice pace here, so let's keep up the good work.

Outside of Afflalo there were two other players I was considering. Will be interested to see where they go.

Is this really necessary? We got a whole month left. Not sure what the real rush is.

Shouldn't be an issue, but this way we're all not sitting there waiting on all day on someone. Its a courtesy to the leeg. We're finishing early no matter what.

Just figured we should at least let people fill out the starting 5 in peace. I get out if we're in the later rounds, but we're still drafting the starters.

All the remaining centers suck, or I don't know them . I hope Tim Duncan can handle averaging 48 minutes...
You might want to start making some contingency plans. I.e. - embrace the suck. Ask Abe what happens when you don't have enough minutes.

Then again the year (2 seasons ago) I had to give starter minutes to Kendrick Perkins because 1st round pick Bynum finally went full inviso mode I may as well not have had anybody to play those minutes.

Sorry - The Greek Freak - G/F

Changed my pick from the one I should make to the one I want to make. Worried he wouldn't last another 23 picks.

Chandler has the potential to be tremendous value here. Was batting around a scenario where I drafted Faried instead of Jonas and hoped/prayed Chandler made it back to me. Glad I didn't try to pull that gambit.
