I always hate my team in this, always.
I was actually hoping not to land Dragic. He was 5th on my shortlist with 4 people in front of me and they all took my guys.I was hoping to land Dragic too. So close, and yet not that close.NoooooooooooFor Sparty:

He's a good player. Watching him in the world cup thingy this summer was more evidence. I wish the Lakers had him.I was actually hoping not to land Dragic. I'm not sold he can repeat last year but if he does he'll be a great pick.
From what I understand he consulted Ilgauskas and his foot doctors in the offseason, so he should be all good. It's never too early to take a 7-footer with foot problems#### me.

Yet I'd still rather have half a center than Josh Smith. It's never too early to take a 7-footer with foot problems#### me.

How about 10% of a center?Yet I'd still rather have half a center than Josh Smith. It's never too early to take a 7-footer with foot problems#### me.

i suspect ibaka will go PF/C and millsap will go SF/PF.............best available player. given my 2nd rounder last year, feel much better right now.I like the Millsap/Ibaka combo. Should work better in the sim than it would in real life.
I'll be aroundI gotta BOOGIE here for a couple of hours. Can I PM a 2 player list to someone?
The guy I had typed in to select before realizing Irving was still avl. Nice selection.2.12 - paul millsap
Changed, twas not I...Also, might want to fix Moops's last pick on the sheet so people don't get confused. Just a suggestion - not trying to harsh TRE's mellow.
I know, I just didn't want to get branded a nerd again by the grand poobah of this thing.Changed, twas not I...Also, might want to fix Moops's last pick on the sheet so people don't get confused. Just a suggestion - not trying to harsh TRE's mellow.
It's one of life's great mysteries. Sparty had a pretty decent post on it a page or two back though.so how does defense work in this thing?
Bump...I'll add this to page 1 tooIf you build a logical basketball team, and your players perform well in the season, you'll do fine. That said, here's what everything does in the sim:Any chance I could get a link to the rules for this particular league, or at least some guidance on how to pick guys? I assume I just take guys I think are just good basketball players and try to create a decent real world roster? Anything that's particularly valuable (or not) in this format?
Usage: Explained at the link above better than I could.
Shooting percentages and turnovers: Are covered under usage.
Minutes: Your players will be allowed to play about the number of minutes they played in real life. If you don't have enough minutes, your players will fatigue, be ineffective, and possibly get injured (there are no random injuries, just fatigue-related ones).
Position Effectiveness: Players who have less than 100% at a position will not perform up to their full capabilities. You'll probably notice that outside of pure point guards and giant oafish centers, most players are 100% at multiple positions, so you have some flexibility.
Assists: Having more of them will positively affect your team's FG%.
Rebounds: Function exactly as you'd expect them to.
Blocks and steals: Players accumulate them at roughly real-life rates, and I assume they cause more missed shots and turnovers for the other team.
Defensive rating: Lowers or raises the FG% of the player he's guarding. Good luck figuring out how to draft players who get good D ratings. Also note that if a player got an 80 or 90 rating exactly, it was probably because he made first or second team all-defense. We're not going to wait for the all-defense teams to be picked, so don't assume a guy who's had a 90 five straight years will get one again.
Right. You need mins...injuries are bad.so is the sim like the baseball one, where min = pa?
Someone post Emma Stone pics in here to get Frosty's attentionThere are too many picks between mine.
He's getting older and has some ankle problems, but he was a first-round caliber player in 2012-13 so if he can get back to that he'll be nice value.I wanted to go another route here but have no idea how it would work out. No idea how this pick is either though......
Deron Williams PG
One day closer to breaking it again!
Always good to have an ankle surgery in March after a foot surgery and then not be able to play until late September. One day closer to breaking it again!

he pisses himselfPF Greg Monroe. Was awesome for me two years ago.
Situation is screaming for a Monroe trade. Just not sure they can get enough in return to actually do it though.Interested to see what Van Gundy does with Smith and Monroe. He's smart enough to know that Smith at the 3, Monroe at the 4 and Drummond at the 5 doesn't work. Somebody's minutes are gonna take a hit.
