NBA BTTF III - Draft Over! War of attrition underway... (2 Viewers)

Got 4-5 teams input last night, will try and do more tonight. If you weren't in the fantrax league last year, I'll need your email address to invite you. Hopefully the rest of you saw the league was renewed? If not, I can send out a mass invite too once everything is loaded.

Antetokounmpo will start at point guard Tuesday against the Cavaliers, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Rumors have floated throughout the offseason that the Bucks would be running Antetokounmpo at the point this season, and he'll make his first start at the position in the absence of Brandon Knight (groin), who is not making the trip to Cleveland. Antetokounmpo had an impressive showing working at point guard off the bench over the weekend, and he'll look to carry over that momentum Tuesday, as the Bucks will roll out a starting five in which every player is listed at 6-8 or taller.

I watched that game. He was much better in the second half when he was playing PG. Was invisible in 12 or so first half minutes playing off the ball, but looked good when the offense was going through him. Of course Chicago didn't really do much to test him, just let him dribble up court and didn't run any traps or double teams at him. It'll be interesting to see how he does in a start where he'll have to deal with that. I think he's probably best suited to a point forward type role off the bench right now, where he runs the offense with the second team.

Vitor Faverani C Boston Celtics
Faverani (knee) will be out six-to-eight weeks after undergoing surgery Monday to clean inflammation and evaluate his left meniscus.
Fantasy Analysis

Faverani initially underwent left knee surgery in March, but after swelling persisted, he was sent back to Spain for a second opinion last weekend. That trip resulted in Faverani needing another procedure to clean his knee out and will now sideline the center for up to two months. With the Celtics currently featuring 16 players in training camp, there's speculation that Faverani could be released to trim Boston's roster to the regulated size. However, unless such a decision is made, Faverani will remain on the Celtics' injury report for the foreseeable future.
Vitor, no!

Didn't see the game, but judging by his line:

23 mins, 0-5 FG, 4 Rebs, 0 Ast, 1 TOV, 4 Pts, 5 PF

I'm guessing it didn't go all that well.

Quincy Acy has emerged as the leading candidate to start at power forward for the New York Knicks. Acy gives the Knicks more defense at the position than Amar'e Stoudemire or Andrea Bargnani would provide. Bargnani started the first preseason game for the Knicks, but he's since been out with a hamstring strain.

“No I didn’t plan on coming here to start,’’ Acy told The Post with a chuckle. “I planned on coming here and playing hard to earn minutes. I guess I impressed enough with my defense to earn a spot. I don’t know what coach got going if I’m starting or coming off the bench or not playing, but I’ll be happy.’’

“It’s important to have guys like Iman and [Acy] because there’s certain types of intensity and mind-set that’s contagious within the team,’’ Derek Fisher said. “That high motor. Teammates enjoy feeding off it. Right now we have some guys born that way.’’
Yeah, I know it's the Knicks

I was about to brag about being in 1st in Fantrax, then I realized only 6 people have set lineups and everyone else's roster is illegal. Should probably get that sorted out if we're going to use Fantrax standings for divisions.

I'll retroactively set it sooner or later...and invite timmer

Well, I set the first lineup and you've been surpassed.

:sadbanana:

I blame Missing Ersan. He's played 12 minutes and has 5 fouls.
Still has that same stupid haircut too.
