*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (7 Viewers)

Lebron is so weird man. Two times he has a try at a layup or free throws and he passes it to a covered man in the corner.
Jordan finishes it off there and draws the foul for the winning and 1.
I think James is great. GREAT. I just have a hard time envisioning Jordan ever having a night like James had tonight. I'm not a bb junkie like many in here but that's my gut feel. I'm sure James plays great next time out and they close it out.

Didn't see James first 2 fouls, but the other 3 I had no problem with. Maybe he should try not fouling in the next game.

Not sure what Stephenson got away with there. James didn't have the ball and he's trying to box Stephenson out. Briefly saw first two fouls and they looked really weak.
A foul was called on James there.

Still, this wasn't on the refs. It was on George going nuts and beating Miami. If you're giving me Lebron for only 19ish minutes and a shot with time expiring to win the series, i'll take it.

Nah, the foul call was after that. that little clip didn't get to the point where james dives and takes out stephenson's legs which was the foul call.

Good for Indiana. And of course they have a shot in game 6. Not much of one, but a shot. The key is they have to stay close throughout the game, they can't fall way behind.

I thought the same in game, I kept thinking that I couldn't believe they didn't call Stephenson for shoving LeBron out of the way. It was pretty bad the way they called it. LeBron had never had 5 fouls in 3 quarters in his entire career.

The Jordan comments above are interesting, since I am old enough to remember lots of his playoff games and I remember quite a bit of discussion back then about Jordan always getting calls.

It really seems like the refs get told how to react each game. Indy gets too many calls game 1, react, Miami gets too many in game 4, react and you get a game where the NBA's best player barely plays.

ETA: Oops, I thought this vine link was the other one with the foul call on LeBron.

Wow……despite all the crap the refs poured tonight…..Lebron finds Bosh for a great look for the win. So…The Heat go home and I have little doubt they wipe the floor with the Pacers jersey's.

George was lights out, but that get's a little easier when your defender has 5 fouls and plays what 19 minutes? It was insane, blatant bad officiating tonight, but despite all that The Heat had a shot to win it in the end and came up short.

Game 6 will be a massive beat down of epic proportions and The Heat will go to their 4th straight Finals.

I think the point is that Stephenson fouled him first. He had his right around around James' front and his left hand grabbing James' jersey and tossing him to the right, which is why LeBron had to dive back into the play.

You do realize that boxing out is legal and grabbing a player and tossing him aside to make a play is not?

You do realize that there's no way lance stephenson is tossing james aside.

Hey Vogal…listen to Spo in his presser. This is how you handle everything with class. Not whining about flopping, fouls and such. Spo knows they had a shot to win it despite the storm and all the bad energy join on with the refs.

The Pacers are punks. Lance is a massive punk and should be fined for this display of school yard shenanigans. An embarrassment to the Association.

God I can't wait till Friday night!!!

Heat shot eight free throws tonight -- the lowest total by a team in the last 1,447 NBA playoff games.

I doubt you hear any Heat player mention this. Maybe they should, worked for Indy.

That's an interesting response. A 6'5" 230 pound guy is probably not strong in any way. Sorry, I saw the play and rewound it when it happened and I was surprised that they ignored all contact until LeBron dove. Even on replay, it sure looks to me like LeBron was pushed out of the way and the refs missed that.

Nah, that's just standard loose ball contact just like i wouldn't expect them to call James for hooking stephenson with his left arm which is not legal boxing out.

James has to be smarter than that. Once he got the 3rd foul with the offensive, he can't be picking up stupid fouls for slapping a guys arm or diving at a guy's legs chasing a loose ball. He finally gets back in the game in the 2nd half and commits two stupid fouls.

If Le B hadn't received some shiiiiity calls, the Heat could have won. I look to the Pacers getting decimated on Friday! Do NOT mess with the King!

Does not matter. They are going to pound this team Friday night. Pound them like a drum set.
You seem awfully confident. I'd be more nervous if I were a Heat fan. You never want to keep the other team alive.
Seriously?
Yeah. Seriously. The Heat should win, I'm not saying they won't. But I'd still be nervous about it.
Go find the number of 3-1 comebacks. (8)

And filter by those that had a top 2 player in the league. (1 - Barkley 95 suns)

The odds are really really long.

If the Heat lose game 6, the odds will be in favor of the Pacers.

We're only talking about the next game, not the series.

I'm sure Miami will win game 6 by 30. NBA doesn't care, another game, more millions for their pockets
:goodposting:

There was no way Miami was going to be allowed to win this game.
So you guys put everything you own on Indiana tonight?
Im going to be honest with you, I dont watch much NBA, but I was at a bar tonight and the game was on. Looked like all the calls was for Indiana, and the out of bounds play looked like it was off George.
