Just played some dumb basketball. Right into Mavs hands. Games got to be too fast paced. Too many 3s getting jacked up. Heat's half court offense is stagant but they still were always better in slow games where they played tight d and forced turnovers. The whole series and it's pace changed after Wade's 3 in front of the Dallas bench. Mavs go on a 21-2 run and that's that. Then it was dumb shots, bad offense and poor d for the rest of the series.

So, do many of you on here give the Mavs a chance of winning the series?

Of course. I am not saying they will win the series, but despite the Vegas odds, I consider it a toss-up. It is just like everyone just assuming Miami will win because "it is LeBron's time" are forgetting that Dallas has won 10 of their last 11 playoff games. Miami might very well win, but them winning it is certainly not a foregone conclusion.

I give Dallas a good chance (40%), but without home court I'm not sure if they can beat the Heat in Miami.Dallas' zone defense could make it tough for LBJ and Wade to penetrate and make plays and on offense the Mavs move the ball unselfishly and as well as any team I can remember.

Wish I had more faith in my analysis.

Congrats to the Mavericks!!!!!! They have been a fun team to watch for the last several years.

What a difference a month or so makes. After losing the 23-point lead to Portland in game 4, so many people on the sports shows here in Dallas called the Mavericks "chokers" and the like. Since then, they were 14-3. I love how this team just kept plugging away and focused. Congrats to Dirk, Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, Marion, Carlisle, Cuban and all the Mavericks. They were fun to watch.

Congrats to the Heat also. While it is not what they wanted, getting to the finals is quite an accomplishment. It will be interesting to see how they respond next year. Whenever the season starts, they will still probably be favored to win it all.

Very entertaining series, with so many close games and teams with contrasting styles.
