Obviously. Just like he wanted the Lakers swept by the Mavs last year. And he's foaming at the mouth at the possibility of an Indiana/Oklahoma City finals matchup.

It's an extremely inefficient way to rig games. I used to watch roller derby, and the Los Angeles T-Birds (who ALWAYS won) knew what the score was. They didn't need refs to decide anything for them. If Stern really wanted to influence this, he should simply tell the Spurs they are to lose tonight.
 
I dont think I've ever said this in one of these threads, but this is a horribly officiated game. Normally things even out, so hopefully the second half is a little more normal.

Tgunz- you were absolutely right about game 2 and I was wrong. I don't know what I was thinking. Imagine the pressure the Thunder would be under if the Lakers had managed to hold onto that 7 pt lead. It's not worth thinking about, except I wanted to acknowledge that you were absolutely right about that.

 
The Spurs have now won 18 in a row. Today early in the 2nd quarter they went on a 24-0 run to put the game away.

The way they are playing, despite their lack of "marquee" stars (other than the aging Tim Duncan) if they win the championship this year I think this team may come to be regarded as one of the greatest ever. They are smashing through the competition the way the 1989 San Francisco 49ers did.

Tony Parker is unquestionably a star at this point. He got twice as many first place MVP votes as Kobe Bryant.

They are rolling right now, but they havent played a title contender yet and their toughest matchups have yet to be played.
 
During that Thunder run the Lakers got away from getting the ball to Bynum and Gasol- they settled for jumpers with the clock winding down. It's always the same old story...
