Anyone that hasn't read the Kirk Goldsberry interview with LeBron that was on Grantland a couple weeks ago should check it out. Among other things, it really drives home the importance of Bosh's efficiency from midrange to their scheme.

The reasoning I've seen is that the coach is a Van Gundy disciple who is interested in controlling the paint as much as possible on both ends. Does Asik fit next to Jefferson? Are they already giving up on Zeller? Both seem doubtful to me, but the idea of a team wanting to add a solid interior defender makes some sense.

Watched some of the Thunder/Nuggets last night. I don't know why but I found Mozgof's performance so bad it was comical. I was laughing out loud at some of the things he did out there. I don't remember him being that useless - have I just not seen enough of him on a regular basis, or was last night particularly bad for him?

I remember hearing something complimentary of him recently on a podcast, maybe the Zach Harper/Matt Moore one. They were saying they felt bad that his name basically became a verb after the Griffin dunk because he's turned into a relatively useful player. Maybe you just caught him on a bad night.

Why would a team that has been blatant about being in rebuild mode deal a pick- even a second round pick- for a guy that would be owed $11 million in the first year of their presumed rebuild and then would be a FA? Only thing I can think of is that Hawes has been too effective and that's messed with their tank plans ... but if they want to deal Hawes I'm sure they can get something that has at least a little long term value to them.
