Courtside Center Court seats for a Sunday ECF game - $650... :jawdrop: These tickets last round for the Nets were priced nothing under $2500 a ticket :kicksrock:
New York real estate probably costs about five times Indianapolis real estate also. You don't understand how those two places are different economically?
I no understand... Please provide research here, they seem similar enough.

Hearing Lin and Asik for Deron.
Makes a lot of sense.
No shtick. It's out there.
Simmons was discussing that before the trade deadline.

Not sure how I feel about that. Would much rather have Melo, but I doubt that's happening. And I'd rather add a third star and keep chandler then use up another year of Dwight praying that love or aldrige comes to Houston.

WilliAms as the teams third best player would be pretty solid.

The Knicks need a complete restart. I like Melo a lot, but he is the definition of a poor mans Kobe. I'm shocked Phil took any job with NYK, just because they are not even close to being a competitor right now.

Zero chance anyone takes Amare. That is a wet dream for a Knicks fan!
I think Indiana and Minnesota end up in good shape after that second one.
Only way I could see someone taking Amare is in a situation like this, where Deron Williams' deal is over 4 years of big money and Amare's deal is only over 2 years of big money.

I may change my mind after game 1, but I think the Pacers get 2 and push it to 6....maybe even 7.

I have no idea what to expect from the OKC/Spurs matchup. Should be fantastic.
i think the SA-OKC series comes down to the Spurs supporting cast. Parker has been terrific throughout the playoffs but this is when teams generally punish him in the paint. Can the ball movement continue to find open shooters and will they fall? OKC has been able to win with it mostly Durant-Westbrook carrying them. It's the Spurs - maybe 10 of them - versus two OKC players for me.
Yup. The Spurs have what, seven of the top 10 players in this series? 8 of the top 11?

Durant

Westbrook

Parker

Leonard

Duncan

Manu

Ibaka

Splitter

Green

Belinelli

Jackson

Diaw

Butler

Mills
I feel like you have Ibaka too low... I'm a big Spurs fan but I think a focused Westbrook and KD will be too much. Heat v Thunder final

So round one is done of that pool I mentioned a while back. I had 1027 points, going with Aldridge, Curry, Wall, Nowitzki, and Randolph. Guy in first place has 1187 points, and went with Curry, Griffin, Aldridge, Lililard, and Harden.

For those who dont remember, points is determined by PTS+REBS+ASTS, over however many games the series goes. Once you use a player, he can not be used again. Everyone in the league chose Curry. Most people also chose Aldridge. Lowry had about 1/2 the guys choose him, similar amount for Wall.

Thoughts on who to go with this round? Thinking Lilliard, Griffin, Paul, Johnson, and George?
Thanks for posting this, I posted 5 guys in this thread for the first round and forgot about it. Time to go add it up.

How many people are entered in your thing, and where does your 1027 points rank?
19 guys. The 1027 places me 12th.

Was a $25 buy-in. First place in each round gets $15. Top finisher gets $265, 2nd gets $100, 3rd gets $50.

Any thoughts for this round? Missing out on Harden and/or Howard sucks. Both those guys scored real well. As did Derozan and Lowry.
Looks like I ended up with 1106 for the first round (Lillard, Aldridge, Curry, DeRozan, Wall).

Ideally you want premier players on teams who will get eliminated, and hopefully in series that go 6 or 7 games. With 3 out of the 4 series being tossups IMO, and with Brooklyn possibly going out in 4 or 5, it's tough to really pinpoint any obvious picks. I think Lillard is a fairly logical choice since you haven't used him, after that it's anyone's guess. I'll post my 2nd round team before the games tonight.
Looking for some help for this round. Kind of screwed. Used George, Westbrook, Parker, and Durant last round. Thought OKC was gonna lose. Doh. Figure my only chance is a MIA/SAS finals and I can use the Big 3 and Duncan/Leonard.

Leaning towards Stephenson, West, Hibbert, Ibaka, and ??????

Ugh

Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I did too, some ugly options left for sure. It's tough trusting Hibbert, but I'm not sure what other options you've got. I agree for sure with the other 3. For the last spot, it probably comes down to Hill, R. Jackson, or maybe Ginobili. Blech.

Also could consider Ray Allen too, lot of mediocre/crappy options for that last spot. I think OKC over LAC has pretty much already doomed you though.

Who have you used so far?
I listed them. George, Parker, Durant, and Westbrook. So, I gotta bank on SAS beating OKC. A sweep would be nice actually. Then in finals I would use James/Bosh/Wade plus Duncan and either Leonard or Manu.

I guess I should use one of Leonard or Manu this round.

Jackson has done well against the Spurs this year FWIW. Doesn't mean a whole lot in the playoffs but if you're gonna take a flyer on an OKC guy he'd be the one.

Hibbert, Stephenson, West, Ibaka, Ginobli. Blech is right
Where are you in the standings? IIRC you had some ground to make up. If that is still the case the high variance play may be your best shot as most people will be saving those same players for the finals and you won't be making up any ground there anyway.

Helluva game by Perk.
He's been only mostly terrible this postseason, which is a huge upgrade for the Thunder. Hopefully last night is a tipping point for Brooks as far as giving Perk minutes over Adams (and Collison to a lesser extent) is concerned but you never know with ol Scotty.

I know he's not James Harden, but Adams is getting better by the minute. He has terrible hands and no offensive game, but he's nimble as a defender around the rim and doesn't clog up the offense.

I am about 130 points behind the leader. Am currently in 4th, just 4 points behind 3rd.

Leader has also used Westbrook and Durant, but otherwise has not used anyone from the other 3 teams. Guy in 2nd place has not used anyone from any of the 4 remaining teams.

So yea, I think I am totally screwed, but the top 3 get paid. I doubt I will be able to sneak into 3rd though.

But maybe my best chance is to go with all 3 MIA guys and hope they lose to IND. Probably my only hope.

His hands aren't that bad. Maybe I'm just jaded from watching Perkins so much but Adams can actually field passes in tight spaces and grasp contested rebounds.

I think you use the Spurs guys and Ibaka this round. If OKC wins and you haven't used the Spurs then you pretty much have nothing left.

I think I would go for a boom or bust round and take the Heat big 3 with Ibaka and Stephenson. Hoping that the Pacers and Spurs advance since you said you doubt you could move up to the 3rd spot.

I think Reggie Jackson causes significant match up problems for the Spurs when Westbrook and Durant are on the court.

Heat in 5 is nonsensical homerism Todem. I LIKE IT! That would mean winning 2 of 3 in Indy and sweeping home court. I'll believe that when I see it. Pacers scare me, man. Hibbert is in the phone booth as we speak changing from his Eeyore gear into his Abdul Jabbar get up.

He strikes me as more of an Artis Gilmore type - when he's on.

This comment is ridiculous - I know you don't want to jinx your team, but I'd be surprised if this series goes 6 and shocked if it goes 7.

BTW - Hibbert got out of the phone booth 3 months ago. He got in his Shawn Bradley gear and hasn't looked back since.

Want to catch the Heat vs the Trainwreck? You

can get 2 uppers on Stubhub for $107,002 each. Who says Pacers tickets are cheap?

Looks like tickets are cheaper for the Heat in

Indiana than they were in Charlotte. Good job?
Charlotte had some for $108,000?
Top results on your link are less than $60...

Didn't the Pacers beat the Heat late in the season in Indy when they were in the middle of playing like a bunch of Grandma Bettys and 1st seed was there for both teams? I guess I put more stock into match ups than recent play vs other teams. The implication that the Heat will split in Indy (at worst), sweep 3/4 at home than win back in Indy just seems like a lot to me. When Indiana has needed to win they have. Remember way back when the Wizards were a better team than Indy? Or Atlanta was sure to upset them before that? UD looked somewhat effective in the last 2 games against Roy on D but if Roy catches the ball in the low post there will be no Nene/Sorcerer Gortat to stop him. Plus until game 7 of the series last year and the last game of the regular season this year LeBron was not effective driving at Roy. Don't you remember game 7 when Bosh got thrown around like a dogs chew toy in an effort to get Roy into foul trouble (which he ultimately did) so that LeBron could be effective inside? Bosh has extended his range to become an outside threat but that will only pull Hibbert out when CB is playing the 5 and Roy is in the game. Indy has given UD that mid range baseline jumper all the time just to keep Roy inside.

I dunno. I hope i'm dead wrong bud. I can't wait for you to tell you what an idiot I am and that you told me so. 6 just seems more reasonable and if you tell me that Miami WILL win 2 games in Indy and win this series i'd have to believe one of those road wins would be game 7.

 For some reason as I read Bradley I pictured Hibberts body with Gheorghe Muresans head, I suppose lingering college remnants are to blame. Thanks for that.

Thunder say forward Serge Ibaka is expected to miss the remainder of the 2014 postseason with a left calf injury.
this is a pretty significant for them. it's great for SA, for sure, but even better for the Heat (should OKC win).
Collison actually played better than Ibaka in last night's game, which isn't a fluke because Collison is a better position defender. But this does hurt their depth, and I wonder how effective Collison can be with extended minutes.

In my mind, this injury changes OKC from being favorites to the Spurs being slight favorites. But OKC still has a decent enough shot that it wouldn't surprise me if they win.
