So what you're saying is it may be a good time to knock the dust off my resume if I wanted to get in on the ground floor of a sports franchise? Sounds like there may be openings and a need if James leaves.Didn't they ####can all the ticket salesman after they brought Lebron in and sold out in 2010?and it really is a family culture that Riley and Arison have built and instilled. It is very tight and very real. I am talking not just about the players I am talking about the ticket ushers,
Gary Sheffield = SPEEDLOL man that was a crazy game!!!Ok now you're looking for a fight.game 7 for The Marlins in 1997
F'n Joe Table
Sorry for that. That must have been brutal for you.
Nugs...you're losing a little faith. Come on brother..you know Riley has this all under control. Lebron and Wade hanging in Vegas together..come on baby.I think LeBron would need to meet with Gilbert, Blatt before signing on to play with Cleveland. Without a public apology from Gilbert, i'd have to stand and clap for LeBron being better at forgiveness than he is at basketball.
One thing for sure, Miami did not intend to be in this position after beating Indiana in the ECF. For the sake of discussion, if the A/C doesn't go off, Miami somehow wins game 1/2, loses 3-6 and loses the series 4-2 or loses 4-1 in a series of competitive games....are we still in this same position?
Ton's of sales positions will be opening up no doubt!!!So what you're saying is it may be a good time to knock the dust off my resume if I wanted to get in on the ground floor of a sports franchise? lolYour credibility just flew out the window.LOLWho the heck is runnnig the Cavs. It's not Pat Riley. Who owns the Cav's? Oh right Dan Gilbert who charred and destroyed the bridge. No offense taken. This is still what I have a hard time wrapping my mind around. He probably can't leave CLE again, which means he's putting the rest of his career in the hands of Dan Gilbert and the Cleveland ####### Cavaliers. If he went to Cleveland and left again in 1 year he wouldn't survive it. Might not be an exaggeration.if you are labron why not just sign a one year deal no matter where you go
I don't care how many assets they have at the moment. That's scary.
You got 2 years until Durant forms his own super team and before Davis is ready to wreck the league.
If you are going the long-term route, I don't see how you place your bet on the Cavs.
No offense, Cavs fans.
(Though, like a fat chick that hates another fat chick that lands a hot guy, I kind of hate any small market team that has some fortune shine on their ###)
How does hitching to the Heat for a long term plan (maybe that needs to be defined) make more sense than the Cavs?
He's left once...I think that means he can/would leave again.
No offense but that franchise is run like a fast food joint while Miami operates like a fine steak house. Riley delivered on his promise of rings. He delivered on getting the pieces needed around his 3 star players to win. And you know laugh all you want about McRoberts, but that was a super solid acquisition and only a piece of the puzzle around the core three. Riley get's it done. He is a fantastic NBA Executive. Lebron has considerably more confidence in his ability along with Bosh and Wade and Pat's and Spo's guidance than a complete unknown in Cleveland. It is an unknown. You have no statistical fact on your squad other than Kyrie Irving. The hope and dreams on lotto picks can go bad as history has shown over and over and over.
The East is weak enough for The Heat to again "get away" as many think with minimum vet's and other teams castaways because Riley knows how to pick the right vet's and reclamation projects for the most part (Oden and Beasly failed but Lewis and Birdman were hits), and Spo knows exactly how to plug them in around his 3 star players. Everyone's argument is Wade is not like he used to be. Same thing was said in the two title years too. Oh wade is breaking down, he is breaking down. Yeah he broke down in the second of two titles playing on one leg basically and having his knee drained every other day...but they still won it. This year they ran into a better team. Nothing is wrong with the Heat. Winning titles is very hard. You don't win them every year. But they sure as hell will be playing and contending for them the next 2-3 years if all three come back (which they will). Riley will plug holes each off-season as usual and hopefully Shabaaz develops by year two into a solid PG. For two players in their prime (Lebron and Bosh) to walk away from a team that has been in the Finals 4 straight years would be IMO the most shocking thing in NBA history. Seriously. It would be just dumbfounding. Miami is a first class franchise. One of the best over the last decade. Cleveland? Bro home is so overrated right now it is killing me LOL. Miami is Lebron's home and has been his office for the last 4 years...the light on for ya big fella. Come hand your hat here for 3-4 more years again and win another ring or two.
Again no offense and with all due respect.
THE HEAT WAY!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111
please I could coach and run that team if the big3 just wanted to show up for me.
Sigh
Spo is a great young coach. One of the 6-7 best in the league no question. You don't get it. Riley's student and he learned from the master bro. You think you can just show up when you have those three? Don't think so. If anything bad coaching will ***k the whole thing up. And great coaching get's a team to 4 straight Finals. It takes a village. It takes excellence from all angles.
not reallyWho was the Cleveland guy last month who told me that most fans there wouldn't want James back?
I wonder what he thinks of Cleveland all but collectively falling to their knees and begging him to come back.
The sad part is, if he doesn't go back to Cleveland, the sting will be almost as bad as 2010.
Yeah Wade is so getting short changed it's really disgusting. Guy played great last year, and his shots stopped falling at the wrong time. He got to the rim with no issues...just could not get his shot to fall.I guess it makes sense. Lebron can get max money. Live where he wants. Be on a competitive and young team that won't need to retool during his contract. My only thing is that the potential of these guys might not be realized, especially this season, so it is a gamble on lebron's part. If they trade for love and maintain some young assets though, that could be nice.
I'm not sure kyrie Allen lebron love varajo with James jones and mike miller plus minimums is better than Napier/cole/chalmers - wade/Allen - lebron/granger - bosh/mcbob - Oden scrubs though. I think wade is being sold too short in this thread.

The problem isn't that they got beat. It is that they got wiped all over the floor. As Nugs pointed out, maybe things are different if they don't lose 4-1 by double digit points in every game. Maybe it was just a perfect storm but essentially putting the same team on the floor next year and expecting different results reeks of insanity.Yeah Wade is so getting short changed it's really disgusting. They got beat. It happens.
Not exactly the way that I would describe it. Your degree of certainty on a scale of 1 to 10 is about 178 and you immediately deride all suggestions otherwise. That's why people think that you are funny. Not like a clown. Like a village idiot.Serious question.TODEM!!!![]()
What's so funny T.R.E.
That I actually think all three are coming back. That's funny? Or that when all 3 come back The Heat contend yet again? That's funny? Please enlighten me. Do I amuse you like a clown in the circus? Funny how? I want to know...tell me why am I so damn funny!!!
All depends on what Wade you're talking about. In the regular season he's fine b/c he can just pick the days he wants to play. In the playoffs, he's going to be a non-factor when he starts to lose his legs as can be seen in the Spurs series where he was terrible.I guess it makes sense. Lebron can get max money. Live where he wants. Be on a competitive and young team that won't need to retool during his contract. My only thing is that the potential of these guys might not be realized, especially this season, so it is a gamble on lebron's part. Right. They even coasted through the East (only playing 15 games in the Eastern playoffs) and he was still ineffective and mostly useless by the time the Finals rolled around. You can't expect to waltz to the Finals like that every year, which means he'll break down earlier and earlier in the playoffs every years as he gets older. All depends on what Wade you're talking about. Disagree. Guy can still ball. Does he need to commit to even better conditioning? No question. He can take a cue from ray Allen on that. He is older and must be diligent this off-season to get into as good as shape as he ever has. I have little doubt he would be committed to doing that. Wade is all heart. The guy plays hard. He did look like he flamed out in the Finals. Part of that was the furious pace of The Spurs and the pin point ball movement. They played magnificent basketball. Yeah they got trounced.wade is done and i am from milwaukee and loved seeing him but having watched him here and then there he can not get up and is out of shape he needs to commit and i do not think he has it in him i am sorry to say that but dems the bones i was dealt and so i played the hand i came in with take that to the bank brohans

naw brohan he is done but on the bright side if it all goes wrong and labron leaves you should seriously open a company making motivational posters you could put all that stuff on there and have a cat like hanging on the edge of cliff or something and it would be like man i have four more floors to sweep before i can leave but now i will not run out the door i will come back dangit fing straight and then bam the floors are clean and you just made yourself another seven bucks for the extra hour of work long story short i am with you brother take that to the bank brohanDisagree. So what do you do? You get angry, you get hungry, you come back, get back in the gym together work hard together and fight for what you want.
That is soul of sports and competing. And that's why I love Riley. He said..."you don't run out the door". "You come back".
Damn f****ing straight.

wha?love plays in the paint and bosh does not bam brought to you by the old swcer
Cavs won't be playing for a title this year....but there will be no sting. People are excited about the possibility on the return, that's for sure. But we have a nice young roster....and Lebron-athon 2015....to fall back on. Lebron didn't make any promises, or say really anything besides a few rather meaningless tweets/instagrams, this time around.not reallyWho was the Cleveland guy last month who told me that most fans there wouldn't want James back?

Last reports are Cavs do not intend to include Wiggins but are also not confident they can get a deal done for Love.I'm a bit sad to see Wiggins leave Cleveland, as i was drooling over the Wiggins/Lebron/Kyrie combination.
Love seems to be a stud, although I have to admit I haven't seen a lot of Timberwolves games over the last few years.
Would one of you gurus mind a quick breakdown of Love vs Bosh?

Ellsburg is going to be there? Interesting.Woj is certainly taking the slow boat approach to this and most everyone else is on the fast train to announcement later tonight/early tomorrow.
Heater cap expert now joining Riley. All part of the plan.

Good post.Cavs having to give away a 1st round pick and Zeller just to get rid of Jarrett Jack's $6M is exactly why you don't pay Channing Frye $8M a yr for 4 years, or Jodie Meeks $6 a yr for 3.

Disagree on the Love not playing defense thing. He's white, but still goodish - check the article below. Bosh is such a stud passer that he averaged a whopping 1.1 assists last year (Love averaged 4.4). Love almost doubled Bosh's rebounds from last year too (12.5 - 6.6). He also shot twice as many threes at a much better percentage (.376). Granted this was all done on a crappy team, but a lot of what he adds will fit perfectly with Lebron, imo.Bosh is a better all-around defender, Love doesn't really play defense, all he does is rebound on the defensive side of the ball.
Love is a better outside shooter, can create his own shot, play in the post. Both are stretch 4's. Love might be better in outlet passes, but I think they both have similar skills overall in passing.
You sir are in a state of delusion. You have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker.I'm a bit sad to see Wiggins leave Cleveland, as i was drooling over the Wiggins/Lebron/Kyrie combination.

Yeah, Love's PER was third in the league. His value added and estimated wins added are double Bosh's.Disagree on the Love not playing defense thing.
