If the Cavs trade Wiggins and get Love, Cavs vs. Lakers should be something like 6,748 to 6,218.$3.25M bid.Boozer to the Lakers
I think that might be the strangest signing all year for them. I am excited for the defensive possibilities with a Nash/Young/Kobe/Randle/Boozer lineup though. They are going to be incredible to watch on defensive with pretty much any lineup. Do they have a single average defender on the entire team?
Love would be stupid to sign a long term deal with Cleveland considering Lebron didn't. Who says he doesn't walk again if he has another blowup with the owner? Who really wants to get stuck in Cleveland long term?
you realize they didn't have a 'blowup' until after Lebron left, right? And that he and his entire crew were treated like absolute gold the entire 7 years they were here? And that unlike Miami's owner, Gilbert has shown he will spend anything it takes to try to win? And that his 1-2 year deal is simply to maximize his earning power from year to year? And that if he left again after a year or two he would be the most hated athlete in the world? And being the villain doesn't work so well for him?You are delusional if you think it's anyone other than the Twolves leaking all these "Klay and Wiggins are suddenly available" rumors.DELUSIONAL!And now GSW are willing to trade Thompson. Lebron has the contract he does for one reason only... The NBA has a new TV contract coming up thus the salary cap is gonna take a big hit. He isnt going anywhere.
I'm going to laugh if they land Wiggins because they didn't panic and make a trade several months before the season starts.I'm going to laugh if we are at the trade deadline and the only real offers are things like "the Morris twins" or "oj mayo and a future 1."
It's about business and not championships with this contract. He's got 5-6 years of championship prime left (at most), and he can't put the control of most of that in the hands of any organization, much less one of the worst organizations in sports.
I doubt he leaves, but Love would be foolish to discount that possibility entirely. I bet Love's big long-term concession to make the CLE thing happen is opting in to that player option, not a long-term extension.

You're right. There's absolutely no way this ends poorly for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
You mean like when Miami tripped all over themselves to get Napier because Lebron said he liked him?James the GM = trouble for CLEWow, the News Herald is reporting the Cavs will trade Wiggins, plus another player and picks for Love, rumor is James has had some input. I think this deal goes down in 48 hours.

What!?THEY NEED TO MOVE WIGGINS!!! THEY ARE PLAYING TO WIN A TITLE IN 2015, I DON'T CARE WHAT LEBRON SAYS, HE IS THE BEST IN THE GAME AND THE BEST DON'T PLAY TO BUILD FOR THE FUTURE, THEY PLAY TO WIN NOW...
IF THEY HAVE TO GIVE UP A PICK AND WIGGINS, SO ####### BE IT, IF THAT MEANS CHAMPIONSHIPS NOW! NOT MOVING WIGGINS IF THEY CAN GET LOVE IS A GIGANTIC BLUNDER IMO!!!
I'M YELLING THIS POST AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!!
Yeah, this is where the lack of a bad contract such as Jarret Jack really hurts Cleveland. If salaries weren't an issue in trades, Minny accepts Wiggins for Klove instantly IMO. Now that they have to add some salary into deal they will have to lose Bennet, Thomspon just for filler purposes and they probably would hate throwing additional assets into deal just to even out salary. If they do have to add in Bennet, Waiters or Tristan then IMO they will demand Deng back from Minny. The problem with Wiggins is that right now he is around equal or more valuable to most franchises. Love does have value immediately to the Cavs so the trade makes some sense but the Cavs would have to give up Wiggins plus to match salaries. So you're either selling really low on Bennett, trading your backup PF or your probable starig SG with Wiggins gone. And you are most likely not getting anything else back. If I was the Cavs I'd want something of value in addition to Love. Draft picks don't really help now. Trade exception would be nice but they're the ones taking on more salary. With Love, they become prohibitive favorites in the East but still missing pieces to win a title.
Love, Lebron, & Irving are almost a lock to win the east and I think they are the favorites to win it all...The problem with Wiggins is that right now he is around equal or more valuable to most franchises. Remember that odds to win the title aren't a reflection of who is considered the best team. Being in the East helps tremendously because it reduces the odds of an upset in the early rounds. We saw it last season too- the Heat were the favorites to win the title pretty much throughout the season and most of the postseason even though the Spurs were actually favored by a decent amount once the two teams reached the Finals.I actually agree with you. Odds right now are relatively useless with all the uncertainty. Also think some books got caught with LeBron moving so they are keeping the Cavs down a bit until the rosters are finalized. But even then, they'll still likely be favorites because of the East. They have much better odds of making it out of the East so even if their odds of winning straight up are less than 40%, it is still better than the West where Thunder/Spurs are toss up to get to finals. As far as Love, he is under contract already and has a player option for next year. So pretty sure he just opts in and becomes a FA with LeBron in 2 years. Probably costs him a few million next year but keeps his options open.Leroy Hoard said:I actually agree with you. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Cavs as favorites even if they do pick up Love, so I agree with your conclusion. The Cavs defense is going to be horrific if they make that trade, and Love isn't a 26/12 player as the second/third banana on a contender.
