Kenyon Martin?Has any NBA player ever come back from a double compound fracture?Yes. He might play again, but he will never be close to what he was. Feel free to disagree. Is this real?Paul George's career is over

Eric Bledsoe looking awful in his #####ing about being low balled with the Suns 4/48 offer.Same deal signed by Lowry. Parker just signed 3/43. And Bledsoe's less proven than both.
Hard to argue with Bledsoe's plan to use 2013-14 season to get a monster deal. Not matter how good he looked when healthy (Suns were decidedly better when he played), he didn't stay healthy all year. 2 knee surgeries in 2 year span and teams aren't going to be banging on the door of an unproven commodity. He can try again in 2014-15 to stay healthy & perhaps he sees that max deal he wants.

That or midget prostituteWho are the big stars that this has happened to? I know it is football, but Demaryius Thomas has definitely completely recovered. It's not basketball, but WR is a position that might be the most similar having to go up for balls. No basketball player has ever completely recovered, production-wise, from an Achilles tear.Would you rather this injury or blow out your achilles? ACL? Trying to get some perspective.

Has any player ever had a double compound fracture? Seems like the list is small. Don't know much about bones but seems like if rather break a bone than tear ligaments. That is what really did in Livingston. Zapped much of his explosiveness.Has any NBA player ever come back from a double compound fracture?Yes. I don't think he looks like an imbecile. For one, we've just seen Parsons and Hayward get max deals. Bledsoes position is stronger, sure, but is it that crazy? Using Parker's contract is faulty on multiple levels. Older player who is still making quite a bit more money and signed for the max given the CBA. Bledsoe provides some value as a RFA so hoping a team who can't attract regular FAs sends him a big offer wasn't that crazy.![]()
He just looks like an imbecile. He has zero leverage. Why? Because no one will make him an offer in the viscinity of what he's asking for ($80 mil)!!! Only the Sixers can give him the max right now -- and there's no shot of that happening. Free agent funds have dried up and teams know the Suns, who have the 2nd most space in the league, will match. And $8 mil to spend than the next closest team.

TWolves owner Glen Taylor tells Pioneer Press trade of Kevin Love likely: "Kevin has made it pretty clear that's what he wants to do."

Additionally, TWolves say they expect a Kevin Love trade to fall on Aug. 23 or 24.
Wake and bake?LeBron played this one beautifully, just like Hyman Roth. He knew all along Love was gonna play with him no matter what. He just went to four straight finals with that Big 3. This Big 3 is even better.
Kyrie/Love >>>>> Wade/Bosh.
He's going to 8 or 9 consecutive finals when the smoke clears.
Difference being there's no teams banging on his door (or with the funds to offer beyond what Phoenix is).......I don't think he looks like an imbecile. except that Lebron apparently was able to make it out of the Miami airport alive.LeBron played this one beautifully, just like Hyman Roth.
They could always just give the non playoff teams, the 8th seed, and anyone under .500 equal chances in the lottery. Basically some structure that gives all the non title contenders a "decent" shot at a top 3 pick and lets them fight for a playoff berth.pollardsvision said:Lowe's podcast with Will Leitch is pretty good.
They get to the tanking/Playoff issue, and they mention the phrase "it's a feature, not a bug". It think's perfectly appropriate here. NBA needs to stop worrying about this. It's a by-product of having the only Playoff system in the country that's not a bull#### crapshoot. You monkey around with percentages all you want, and nothing will change that.
If they can find a huge incentive for being an 8-seed that gets swept (it would almost certainly have to be financial), fine, do that.
Otherwise, roll with the great off-season buzz and a league where fans are fine with teams making smart long-term decisions (I swear Sam Hinkie must have the higher Q-score than any athlete in Philadelphia right now).

When you reference the past 4 finals with "that big 3" it makes it seem that you're comparing the big 3 back then to Love/Irving/James now, I can see the confusion. I could argue that Bosh essentially was Love while he was in Toronto....maybe Love was a little better b/c of the rebounds but plays less defense. Gimme Wade in his prime over Irving any day until Kyrie shows he can actually do something outside of an all star game. Over the past 3 years (I think that was the timeline-of course i'm using a stat that I didn't actually check cause that's how I roll as an iDbag) Wade has played more games than Irving. Yeah, moving forward I agree with you, Clevelands upside is better than what Miami probably could have put together. But hey, it's all about going home to where James used to crawl and bleed, right? The 2014-2015 version of D-Wade? You sure about that?Kyrie/Love might be better but it's not by that much.Raider Nation said:LeBron played this one beautifully, just like Hyman Roth. I think it'll take 2-3 years, but he'll get there. Shaun Livingston was a solid, productive player last year. How the hell is he going to be able to come back from THAT?
And Livingston's injury was much more devastating. They were worried about him ever walking normal again.I think it'll take 2-3 years, but he'll get there. Shaun Livingston was a solid, productive player last year. How the hell is he going to be able to come back from THAT?
I had a foot injury where I fractured 2 toes, broke another one, tore ligaments, cartilage, did some nerve damage, and dislocated my foot.Devastating injury. Watched it once. I don't ever need to see that again. Freak injury.
If it was just a clean break and minimal ligament damage he will come back. I think the bigger hump will be the mental aspect once he is physically recovered. That was just nasty.
But he is very young and this was well below his knee. So hopefully he can make a full recovery. It will take 24 months for him to get back to his previous level if he indeed makes a full recovery.
I'm no capologist, but I think that the $24M+ going to Houston is a bit more than the $1.5M leaving. How about...
Bledsoe and West to Houston.
HIbbert to Phoenix
T. Jones and the Pelicans pick to Indy.
Phoenix is making noise about running 2/3 PG lineups this year, the last thing they want is to wait for Hibbert to haul himself up and down the court. How about...
Bledsoe and West to Houston.

Pretty sure you missed the part where Indy is only getting T Jones and a pick.I'm no capologist, but I think that the $24M+ going to Houston is a bit more than the $1.5M leaving. How about...

I didn't miss that part, but the trade is irrelevant because it isn't even close to working with the cap. I don't think Indy would be against the idea of dumping nearly $60M of contracts of declining assets, just not for a rotation player and a mediocre draft pick.Pretty sure you missed the part where Indy is only getting T Jones and a pick.I'm no capologist, but I think that the $24M+ going to Houston is a bit more than the $1.5M leaving. How about...

More importantly though, it's nice to see Abe out of his Daryl Morey July induced trade funk.
I love the revisionist hysteria in your post. THAT big 3 was/is HOF worthy and all world when they were winning and now it has been reduced to an italicized punch line by t-shirt fans. They got destroyed by a better team, by their own arrogance and now they've been blown up so elBJ can clear his conscience and get back in the good graces of the general public. OF COURSE Love is going to play in Cleveland with the best player in the world. Why does that make elBJ this all seeing all knowing uber business man? In your opinion, of course.Raider Nation said:LeBron played this one beautifully, just like Hyman Roth. He knew all along Love was gonna play with him no matter what. Can't get over how delusional you are.DELUSIONAL!
Hibbert does nothing for the suns. We already have two young big men that can guard the rim and run the floor. Now if we could have gotten Gasol that would have helped. He's only signed for 2 more but I don't see much in the way of a return.
I don't think the Suns are interested in Hibbert. (Indy contacted Phoenix about Dragic and Suns didn't get anything they were interested in)
You guys are getting a heck of a deal - probably the best deal ever - under the circumstances. Extremely well played by Flip.DELUSIONAL!
