These two should be 1-2. I wouldn't argue either at this point, though personally Steph would probably get my vote. Will be fun to see how it ends up.

Can't help but laugh. Stauskas?I like Illysova a little bit but he's not a guy you trade Stauskas and a first for. That's the first I've heard of that. Teams aren't lining up for that deal because there just aren't many capable PFs that Sacramento would be willing to trade for that fit their needs and who might be available. Maybe Ilyasova? Now that I am trying to do Fanduel basketball I am trying to learn the NBA better.
Are the Kings serious about trading a guy they drafted this year and throw in a future 1st for front court help? I feel like teams should be lining up to take this deal.
Not a national story but Pete D'Alessandro recently gave a local press conference type deal to defend the Malone firing and basically only succeeded in looking like one of the bigger d-bags in the NBA. I doubt he's long for the job.
I've got VO on the fantasy squad this year. Shot is much improved, especially from distance.Magic with back to back wins over the Bulls and Rockets. Crazy. Oladipo with 65 total in those two. He looks incredible.
Still goes away at times. Last night was baffling. He should have killed that crappy Knicks team and went 6-20 instead.I've got VO on the fantasy squad this year. Maybe it's just me, but Pop seems like a freaking great guy. The reporter stuff is shtick to make fun of how dumb their questions usually are.The last quote was what really got me. It doesn't surprise me that an NBA coach wouldn't scout the rest of the league much. I wonder how much of Popovich's public persona is schtick and how much of it is real. I think Belichick goes home and kicks his dog, but I wouldn't be surprised if Popovich is a pleasant person in his day to day life outside of basketball. It's real. And spectacular.A pregame interview with Pop by some reporter named Jeff McDonald (I hope this is true):
Since the last time you saw the Jazz, they've been playing .500 ball. What have you noticed about them that they've improved?
Pop: I haven't watched them.
Have you scouted them or anything?
Pop: No. I don't do that.
Do you know anything at all?
Pop: I know that the two sides of an isosceles triangle are equal.
Pop has insisted to the press for a long time that he doesn't scout opponents. His job is to watch video of his own team to look for mistakes that need fixing, and then to communicate that back to the team as individuals and groups.
The triangle quote is amazing, and I only wish he'd dropped that one on a courtside TV talking head during a game instead of wasting it on a best reporter.
I was at the game last night. Insane. It happened so fast. Love this Warrior team. That makes like 10 of us.Yeah, not sure I've ever been more wrong about anything on this board./deletes all how dumb the Warriors were for not doing the Klay for Love trade posts
Even the people on the right side of that argument didn't see Klay being this good.
Yeah I don't know why they even vote. I haven't even paid attention to the game in probably a decade. As irrelevant as the pro bowl.AAABatteries said:Cuban stating the obvious but thank god he's around to say it.

brohans i am not trying to be funny but at this point based onn what we have seen from love in cle would you really even say he is an upgrade over lee less is going to get you ten and ten and get his but kicked playing hard on d and he has no illusions about needing the ball and does not slow down the o so long story short i think a lot of peoole overhyped love take that to the bank bromigosNo. 16 said:I was at the game last night. Count me as one of the few that said the Warriors shouldn't include Klay in a Love trade. I said it time and again the upgrade from Lee to Love wasn't worth Thompson.
A lot of has to do with Klay, but you also have to give Kerr credit too. I know I sound like a broken record, but last year was so frustrating to watch with Mark Jackson at the helm.
i can not stand jennings and think he is a pimadona but i still do not ever wish anyone to get injured so i hope that it is not a torn achilies and that he can get back soon becquse otherwise i do not really have any reason to dislike the pistons take that to the bank brohansSpartans Rule said:Brandon Jennings injured tonight against the Bucks. Thanks for giving Pistons fans a fun month. Now back to chasing ping pong balls we go.
I recall that they do this with the rookie - sophmore game now. It seems to work pretty well.Yeah I don't know why they even vote. I haven't even paid attention to the game in probably a decade. Wish they'd just ditch the voting completely and go with the NFL-like fantasy draft with 2 coaches/representatives. A draft is more entertaining than the game. At least it may get people talking about something in regards to it.
Handful of good writers would work as well. Simmons, Lowe, Haberstroph (sp?), Pelton, Doolittle, Stein, etc. They should do east-west still and have the coaches, gms, and/or writers vote for the 11 and have fans vote for the final roster spot or something.
Kobe starting over Harden was absurd.Much ado about nothing. The fans that take the five seconds to vote are likely the ones most interested in the all star game. So it's fine they choose the starters.

Max. Would love to see him as the starting 3 in Toronto. What kind of offer sheet is Jimmy Butler going to get this offseason? Man would he be a perfect fit in Orlando.
Yea he's going to have a ton of offers. Will Chicago be able to match? I know nothing of their situation.Max. Would love to see him as the starting 3 in Toronto. What kind of offer sheet is Jimmy Butler going to get this offseason? Man would he be a perfect fit in Orlando.
I agree that in the grand scheme if things it's meaningless as I don't care about the game. However, if you are going to have the game then do what I think is the right thing and take the players that are deserving.Much ado about nothing. At about $60 so it would be tough wtihout going into the tax. I'm sure they could dump Gibson for a couple picks to clear $8.5 if they wanted to. Another guy I'd like to see in Toronto if they don't re-sign Amir.Yea he's going to have a ton of offers. Will Chicago be able to match? I know nothing of their situation.Max. I'm sure it means a whole lot to the players as well as far as bonuses, future contracts and endorsements.I agree that in the grand scheme if things it's meaningless as I don't care about the game. I like the story of an up and coming stud better than the story of a washed up vet who is one of the worst players in the league. The deserving players are going to get to go. Injuries and whatnot tend to work themselves out. Kobe in New York in his final all star game is a better story than klay Thompson making it as a bench reserve for the first time.
What? No it's not.The deserving players are going to get to go. Injuries and whatnot tend to work themselves out. Kobe in New York in his final all star game is a better story than klay Thompson making it as a bench reserve for the first time.
It probably is to the people that watch the AS game. I don't understand why people get upset about the voting, its a popularity contest for an exhibition game. The most popular players should play. We have the All-NBA teams at the end of the year which should be for the deserving players. What? No it's not.The deserving players are going to get to go. Injuries and whatnot tend to work themselves out. Kobe in New York in his final all star game is a better story than klay Thompson making it as a bench reserve for the first time.
Maybe we should have Patrick Ewing out there for one last All Star game in NYC too. Who cares about actually seeing good players? The deserving players are going to get to go. Injuries and whatnot tend to work themselves out. Kobe in New York in his final all star game is a better story than klay Thompson making it as a bench reserve for the first time.
The tax and salary cap both jumped about $5M this year, I would be very surprised if it didn't jump at least that much for next year. The tax will probably be near $82M, the Bulls have 10 players under contract for about $64M if Hinrich picks up his option, the first year max for Butler will be about $16M if the cap goes up $5M. So, after they give Butler the max, which is all but a certainty, they'll have $2M to sign a backup PG and wing to bring them up to 13 players and avoid the tax.At about $60 so it would be tough wtihout going into the tax. I'm sure they could dump Gibson for a couple picks to clear $8.5 if they wanted to. Another guy I'd like to see in Toronto if they don't re-sign Amir.Yea he's going to have a ton of offers. Brandon Jennings is out for the year. Torn Achilles. That is a bummer for the Pistons and their fans.
His triple double today is the most improbable in a while. He absolutely looked legit doing it too.If the Heat stumbled across a meaningful rim protector moving forward, they could be a real tough out in the playoffs. Especially if Wade continues to play the way he is right now.Who the hell is Whiteside?
I feel the same. Man I'm loving the NBA. I can't wait for the playoffs. His triple double today is the most improbable in a while. He's been playing VERY well for weeks. Just had a few games off for an ankle but he's been so much fun to watch. The Heat are just beginning to figure out how to get him into the offense....Wade has a pick and lob with Whiteside that's been effective but he'll only get better as Chalmers/Cole/Shabazzzzz get on the same page. His triple double today is the most improbable in a while.
